Some truthful people tend to be nervous as they are afraid they might be mistaken to be lying. Professional liars dont exhibit nervousness as they are already used to be lying all their life.

"Some truthful people tend to be nervous as they are afraid they might be mistaken to be lying. " People can be uncomfortable with the truth so they might appear nervous or anxious even when telling the truth. It's actually kind of weird because a lot of people are very comfortable with lying and give no telltale signs that they're lying at all. They lie like it's the most natural thing in the world and you would only ever know that they're lying because you just happen to have knowledge that some or all of what they're saying is untrue. If they're really bad liars they'l contradict themselves at every turn. Body language is bogus when it comes to determining if somebody is telling the truth or not. People can be nervous or anxious for any number of reasons.

@@williamduke8331 You need to establish a baseline for example some people are naturally figitty and nervous because they are introverts and they don’t like confrontations. Once you know how they are when they’re calm and answering obvious questions you can start getting into the nitty gritty. Like a polygraph, they always ask what their names are, their birthdays, etc.

1. Don't fill on the void or silence, wait 2 beats. If you tell the truth, you don't want to fill it. 2. Invade personal space, scoot the chair closer or step closer. Lean forward with the torso. 3. People will speak more if you nod 3 times in a row. 4. Make them tell the story backwords, from the middle or from someone else's perspective. Because liars rehearse so it'll be difficult for them.

my psychology class taught us that anyone can get nervous when they're accused. It also taught us that things like micro expressions and other body language notions aren't exact indicators. Although that some guilty people do get nervous because they're guilty, nervousness isn't a 100% accurate and fool proof method to detect guilty people. We learn different methods to get answers like re-calling events backwards and such forth. Since brains process information automatically sort of like computers, lying becomes difficult because it's not a natural response but rather a forced response. Our conscious self can manipulate people by lying but deep inside the brain knows somethings off so you need to learn to exploit that weakness by maintaining a calm and fluid dialogue, that's how you'll get the brain to slip and tell you the correct information that really occured. Example: I was cooking a delicious meal and my sister arrived home. I know she likes to pick at the food on the stove so as i left for a second i had a feeling that she had grabbed food because there was a bit missing. I didn't accuse but asked her if she grabbed some food and she denied doing so but i kept the conversation calm to keep her off guard and calmly told her it was really hot right? And her brain automatically said yes! A second later lmao she said darn it! You got me.. and i laughed because as much as she wanted to she could not lie to her own brain...

Experience is the best teacher when you're dealing with liars. I've dealt with liars my whole life, all the way from nervous liars, who may just be trying to keep their convo short and sweet (which btw, if you ask me, all lies are the same - dirty), to the extreme pathological liars, who lie out of habit, or just want people to think their cool or whatever (theyd be a hell of a lot cooler if they were honest). There are many many many signs that are shown by liars, and many times they understand that people are onto them, or may catch onto them, to they throw out mixed signals (which you should be able to catch if you're paying attereall.ne nymore

Guess that ex is needing to confess their mistakes and lies

Pam Rowbottom what did you call that anxiety problem you have? I have been dealing with something very similar since I got out of high school 20 years ago. I had a lot of friends in high school and was considered one of the "popular" kids. After I graduated and started working I had an experience when my boss was just talking to me normally where I got very nervous and my face turned red. I couldn't think straight anymore and all I could think about was what the other person was thinking about me. "How red is my face?", "I am starting to sweat.", "I need to get out of here!". I just have these panic attacks and I avoid social situations because all I can think about is, "What if I have an attack?". It has really caused problems for me my whole adult life and I now take medication for it. I was just curious what the disorder was called and finding ways to deal with it without taking medication. Thank you

During the Amanda interview I think you were bang on the nail when you said she was coached. She had a micro smile when the question was asked indicating that she was pleased that she was prepared to answer the question and she expected it. She, I believe knows, more than she was letting on. There is tension around the eyes, pulling her eyebrows together indicating fear or concern and mouth indicating stress ( which would be expected giving the nature of the questions) Swallowing is a fear mechanism as well. I think she was worried she would give too much away. There is also what appears to be sadness or guilt in her face in the end of the clip. The base line would definitely be necessary to establish the a more accurate read however even the best liars cannot always control the limbic responses.

I disagree that someone is lying if they hesitate to tell you something in reverse order. Simply ask them to say the alphabet backwords and many people will hesitate. So while most of what you say seems logical, I would highly disagree with that assumption you made. Firstly, a person may be nervous because they are being interrogated. In the legal field, it is enough to have a person of authority interrogating you or being in a courtroom giving testimony to cause nervousness and it does not necessarily mean you are a liar. This is also why lie-detector tests are highly unreliable in the Canadian legal system.

Her eyes are dialated too. Real nervous. And the nod are two indicators in the first five seconds. There was a micro movement on the nose that was anger. The eye brows looked forced even to cover the anger and pull the face out of it. It was a mixture of anger and insult at the question. It looked like surprise, but she was purposefully using them to stick her answer. Like the expert said, it may have been part of a coached response.

Some people can be so cruel when they see something they disagree with. Whether you believe what Vanessa Van Edwards is stating is true or false. Some people need to learn some Psychology about human behavior. There are some very good people who could lie their way out of a wet paper bag, and there are some people that are the opposite. I could be guilty of something yet, be very good at lying about it, or I my not and give myself away very easily. You have 2 ears and 1 mouth. Listen before you speak, it takes nothing too be an effective listener and even less to speak before your brain realises what some one has said.

I agree w/you about the swallowing Cedric, but I really do think that not telling the truth, somehow triggers us {For Whatever Reason?} to swallow. I'm not a liar because I don't care! But when I want to lie, these are good tips to watch out for. You see the problem with humans is our intelligence, now I know a person will look out for these, i'll be extra vigilant.

If I am lying its like paradise when someone is silent for a while. For me personally the more dragged out the better unless I have to use the bathroom or something. Because the longer I am there in that moment I have not been caught and I am not in punishment.

How did you miss the beginning of her smile? Look again at the first second after she was asked “Did you kill..?” because at the very instant Sawyer finished mentioning the victim’s name - the left side of Knox’s mouth curled into a smile: just for the briefest - not even a second - but her eyes remained fixed throughout. It is symptomatic (though not conclusive) of Narcissistic Personality to involuntarily smile at someone else’s bad news, especially death or terminal illness. It is also generally understood that those with psychopathic or sociopathic personalities will become excited at the mention of their intended or actual victim - especially if they took mementos or other evidence of their homicide to relive the experience or have the ability to internally revisit their victim’s traumatic death or injury. This too is known to induce a form of internalised euphoria which can, under the right provocation, leak out into the outside world - no matter how much the accused tries to hide it. The question here is - did she stifle a smile? and why? *please note this opinion is based on being able from childhood to pick up on micro movements of face and body and is the sum total of personal knowledge- not Professional analysis.******

I made my girl tell the truth, probly all of them, by pretending i already knew everything. I actualy controled the situation confidently, or being agresive maybe, which i dont often do. Once she told me something contradicted my presumptions based on my little investigations, i yeled BS, literaly, and walked away, gave her time to think she was already caught, then moments later, she asked for another chance to talk and told me everything. Further investigation proved that she realy told me all truth. I guess i was just lucky. Or it was a destiny. Or whatever. Or i was just better at lying. Thank goodness she did not prepare by watching these lying techniques im curently learning on yt these days

FOR ME AMANDA KNOX WOMEN ARE THE FUTURE: * The first question traps her= a little vendictive smile + a little head down (mercyless bossy) * The other 2 questions the answear are given, but there are a millions of possibility TRANSLATED * When cops start/point at u... it never ends * It will come out all the baddest of the person * If the bad it gives profits and pleasure= guilty * But for society it is ok= people wanna see blood That is the trick For example= to me the intervier can be a past of satanism and killer psyco * Can be the right one to solve some cases * If satanism she is a killer, but protected (sneaky ways) * Killer psyco knows the weapon and seduction * If under a family also the dynamics of what it cant be telled= unknown realityes
