I don't do the outbreak reset method because I think it's less exciting getting a shiny that way. I find it more thrilling grinding for an outbreak of a specific Pokémon and finally getting a shiny. But that's just my opinion.

Shiny odds are gonna be insane with shiny charm. Had 2 shiny starly. I caught shiny Driftblim. One failed one in Distortion world. Plus some other shinies. All non mass outbreak.

I was not expected that I found 2 shiny Turtwig in a single outbreak, Turtwig was not even level 10 in my Dex and I don't have shiny charm either that time... I even screenshot my report on this outbreak alone...

When i got darkrai i was so excited to finally get the shiny charm and searched to see where it was. As soon as i heard you needed to get research level 10 im considering giving up. I shouldve chose a different game to complete the pokedex in

it doesn't take too long to get research level 10 for most pokemon, you get your dex nearly complete just by peddling around in the story! I'm almost 60hrs ingame time and my dex is almost complete (still have some pokemon to catch, and then some dex entries to complete) I finished the story a few days ago

I have to give GameFreak credit here. Even with HOME now compatible with Legends: Arceus, it's still a challenge to complete the Shiny Charm. It's not like other titles where you can just transfer all the missing Pokemon in and fill up the Pokedex, you still have to do the research tasks to get a 10 for each. I will say that it makes certain Pokemon like Spiritomb and Unown WAY easier.

It's so funny how that in hisui they have the shiny charm like they do from either gen 5 or 6 onwards but in modern sinoh (not bdsp) dont have the shiny charm

Do I have to arceus or something. I'm sitting at 237 and talked to him (which gave me the other two starters). No shiny charm event (and I even talked to him in a different biome).

So, i'm a bit confused about resetting the swarms, you enter the instance where it is, save, then after checking the mons you reset the game, go back to the village and back to the instance again and that should reset the swarm right?

It’s an item that changes the forms of landorus,thundurus,tornadus and enamorus to there terian forms it’s called the reveal glass

I don’t get it. Whats the point of even having the shiny charm if you’ve literally already done everything. Whats the goal? To complete the tasks? I dont really want to see 40 combee jump out of a tree. And for what? Just to be able to say that I did it? Sorry for being negative Im just pretty bummed. I just dont know what the point is if I never battle with them and the story is over.

Yes, but once you catch them, all you really have to do for their research tasks is use their certain moves a number of times, it doesn’t take too long, I did it with the weather trio

I think you need to be a 10th star galaxy member along with the completed dex. I'm trying to grind the 10th star out rn to see if my game is bugged, because I have every pokemon on research level 10, except darkrai and shaymin, and Laventon is giving me nothing. Edit: I got 10th Level, still no charm! So I can onIy assume you need to catch Shaymin and Darkrai.

Oh, I thought you had to complete every single research task for every Pokémon, but you just need to get their research level to 10, ok not too bad. Edit: ok I beat arceus, now I can work on getting research level 10 for each Pokémon, I only have 82 complete, so I have a lot of work to do, but it’s going to be fun, I like doing the tasks.

You can catch the starters in space time distortions after you’ve beaten the main story!

There’s no trading in this game, for the trade evolutions like machamp you have to use an item called the link cable, or you can find an alpha one in the wild

Shinies are not in any way guranteed, they are just more likely - eg. you have a CHANCE at getting Shinies to a certain degree

@@lordn4353 I know they aren't guaranteed, but I guess I did expect to see them a little more often. The chance to encounter one has increased from 1/2000 to 1/600 give or take. And I usually fly around the entire map whenever I enter it, just to make sure I don't miss a shiny. I find about the same as before the charm, though it feels like less actually. I would expect to see them just a bit more often, even though it's mostly still luck, I know.

I’m having issues, I completed my pokedex 242 and everything is at lvl 10 research. But it’s not giving me the shiny charm….For some dumb reason the event is not triggering regardless of what I do. Is anyone else having this issue?

Honestly I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'd take a charm to increase gender percentage over this any day 😂 my OCD makes me suffer. However its good to know I'm just a few steps from this point. Got a few to complete. Still need 2 female Shieldon, those space time cracks aren't being very kind. 4 days nuthin, but like with my female alpha Typhlosion, I shall get there sooner or later. Cheers for the info 🎉
