@@exLightningg We know,, everyone says it - but for me , it's a totally Natural experience what Scarlet & Violet did. I know the near total majority wants the jingle but I just find it daft and combined with Outbreak exploits; people have made the Shinies almost as common as the ,, commons! It's simply just _so_ much tougher, and so rewarding to find one in Scarlet/Violet - I love the fact you actually have to make an effort and _look._

Something crazy that won't get appreciated enough is the fact that mothim is one of the hardest shinies to get in the game. It only spawns in the wild with no possibility for outbreaks or any other forced spawn. It took ages to get one for my shiny living dex

@@DarthZ01there's no real proof that's what happened, it's far more likely that it's one of those things that only made it into legends arceus because the two games were developed at around the same time, and so it might come back later

⁠@@m3x_repelSorry for the late reply. I actually save the second I enter the area so I can check all outbreaks for shinies, then pick and choose which ones to actually hunt before the storm ends. I got incredibly lucky to get alpha Spiritomb and did end up getting the shiny at 97 permutations, plus a random shiny budew from another outbreak on the map.

I recently shiny hunted Petilil and I can tell you that if you catch or battle all the Petilil in an area and go back to camp to sleep they will respawn. This allows you to avoid leaving and loading the area over and over

I really want to see a living shiny dex on your perfect savefile! Seeing that shiny pokeball with a shiny pokemon on it for every single pokemon would be such a fun thing to watch! Remember, it doesn’t have to be a new file. Just like this challenge, you can continue with your perfect file (and also keep the pokemon lol)

Enamorus is still Shiny Locked so ATM it's not possible Maybe it'll be possible in Indigo Disk since it'll have a Legendary hunt

⁠⁠@@UntroubledPlacidYes, you can trade over shiny legendaries. However, they were talking about Enamorus, which is not available to shiny hunt in any other game (or in PLA, obviously). If they add a way to hunt it in S/V or Go, or an event shiny, then you can have the shiny dex entry for every Pokémon.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and I could just be misremembering because my memory is super bad, but I think you missed an NPC. If I remember correctly there's an NPC in the Alabaster Icelands who asks you for a fire type pokemon to help him set up a camp. But either way this was a really fun video and it's really cool to see someone do a challenge like this! Looking forward to seeing more!

honestly i love the fact that the NPC's shiny pokemon actually stay shiny. i was always kinda sad about the fact that, in the hoenn games, if wally catches a shiny ralts, it doesn't stay shiny when you next battle him. let the kid have a shiny starter, dangit!

I loved shiny hunting in this game! I think my favorite find was either my shiny alpha gliscor or my shiny alpha heracross. They were both the "placed alphas" that just happened to be shiny when I was passing by them.

I added this video to my “watch later” when it came out and just finally watched. I knew about the special alpha dialogue and did that on my original play through. Nosepass was my first ever legit shiny pokemon. I caught it in pokemon platinum, in mount coronet during a nuzlocke. Needless to say it replaced my geodue. (Then he died and I ha to replace it with a gyarados)

I find it hilarious that shiny Wurmple gave you so much trouble because Wurmple was the first shiny I caught in Legends Arceus, and it was in that little grove between the apricorn trees right in the Obsidian Fieldlands. RNG was not smiling upon you then lol

I gave a graveler to the crop field npc when he requested a ground type mon. wouldn't that count for your challenge? Also, glad to see the shiny wurmple keeps shiny even after switching from silcoon to cascoon... or is it only when it evolves into cascoon by itself? In my game, the wurmple I gave was clearly a silcoon up until I got the quest for the comparison where it suddenly changed into a cascoon. So it makes me wonder if it keeps shiny in that 50% case.
