Formentera - You can see a lot in 8 hours!
Finally managed to make it across to our sister island of Formentera for today’s vlog. Over the past weeks/months it’s been on/off if travel between Ibiza and Formentera for tourism purposes was allowed! Today it was so I jumped in my car, jumped on the ferry and spent the day there.
I only scratch the surface of this beautiful island, but I hope it inspires you to visit yourself and perhaps spend a little longer there.

Yes your right there - not very often Illetes can be see like that! I will have to do a before and after in the summer time

What a great overview of Formentera. I have to confess that I have yet to visit in 20 years of going to Ibiza! I keep saying “maybe next year” but this has whetted my appetite for going as I hadn’t realised there was so much to see. Thanks for that!

Watched this vlog more than once Nick. Paused, scrolled and viewed. Glad you took the drone with you for some really great shots. Would have to agree that Playa de Ses Illetes is paradise. By far the best beach I’ve ever been on. Day tripping to Formentera on the ferry is ok, but I found you need 2-3 days on the island to be able to fully appreciate it. Sigue viviendo mi sueño 🦎

Thanks Keith :) Happy use of the drone for the first time was in Formentera - I took extra caution. Appreciate the coffee by the way:) 2/3 days is for sure the best way to see the island - I have never spent the night in Formentera

Great video Nick, really enjoyed it. Love Formentera always well worth a visit. Illetes is my favourite beach, but can get too busy in the summer. Looked like you had it to yourself 👍.

Very lucky that so few people were there, Illetes can get a little over crowded in the high season months - but you cant blame the people for wanting to visit such a stunning place!

Went to Formentera 20 years ago, day trip from Ibiza. Natural baron landscape and nice beaches....8 hours was plenty enough!.

Went on a day trip when on honeymoon back in 2008! Stunning place and wish we had stayed a few days to explore. Hoping you do some videos over Easter! Be interesting to see what happens on the island! Loving these videos, making lockdown U.K. more enjoyable 🤣🤣

We went to Formentera for 3 days with my husband and daughter and it was amazing! Wish I could've stayed more. We stayed at Playa es Pujols and it has great shops, a nice beach and great restaurants. Ses Illetes I think was my favorite though and Pilar de La Mola.

Sure is and only 30 mins by ferry :) Very true about the beer/coffee - in Spain people are on the brandy for breakfast! Free - I wish I could be guaranteed best prices I can do :) Thanks for watching as always

Hi Peter I’m sure you will have a great time as it’s a stunning island. Formentera is quite close close to the airport flight path but according to my DJI there are no off limit area in Formetera

Love all the vids m8 love formentera Been Ibiza every year the last 20 years missed the place since covid that brings me to a question I have for you the lastime I was there I got a speeding ticket and it didn’t get paid any idea how I can pay it ? Iv lost the ticket and didn’t wanna get stung next time I go coz I’m definitely coming bk love the place I dnt speak the lingo so trying online has been hard for me keep up the good work m8 👍

Thanks Leon, cheers for watching. About the ticket - id contact the car hire place, usually would go back to them and they would chase you up. If you haven't heard I wouldn't worry too much.

@@NickIbizahire Hi Nick, thank you so much for replying to me. We came back from another fantastic holiday in Ibiza last Thursday. After watching your video, we took the car down to the docks, couldn't find the ticket office but the harbour staff let us drive on and pay onboard (we were on the big ferry). Drove to Illeyetes Beach firstly which was shut to cars so we got directions to Cala Saona. This beach was fantastic, I was out about 50 meters and still only waist deep. Where Ibiza's coastline is quite rocky in parts, Ibiza's little sister Formentera makes up for it with amazing beaches. Thanks Nick, will keep in touch mate

As a general rule - In the summer months no but in the winter months yes. This is the case in Ibiza and I guess its the same in Formentera. Dont blame me if you get in trouble for taking your dogs there ha ha
