THank you for your time and consideration. You are making me a better caregiver & i thank you for saying, we are the reason why you make these videos ( as we pay close attention to your words). It does work! Praise the best, ignore the rest😊

As you once said, "children are ulitarian." I have learned parents & caregivers must keep their RESOLVE to do what is best for child.

I was told a few times, by men and women. That my 2 going on 3 year old son doesn't listen or respect me. Mainly because I let him do or get away with everything. I think that's because I felt bad, he watched his father abuse me. I didn't believe it, until we were in public and he was flipping out. I was telling him to stop and calm down and he got worse. It wasn't until I took my belt off and popped him before he realized I was serious. So when I talk, play, read, or take him outside now. I make sure that belt is right around my neck, just in case. I honestly believe its working, he seems more motivated and focused to me. I still talk, instruct and praise him for things that he does. He just needs to know he can't do whatever he wants, whether I'm there or not. I see scolding him is not effective, I don't feel good when I do it. Just finding ways to be more firm and constructive with my approach. 💯

This is the most helpful video I’ve watched so far and it’s my 14th one iv seen of yours. This information is helping me understand so much from my own childhood and how I am suppose to be with my kids. Thank you for teaching me what I needed to know

It makes so much sense, because if you scold, that’s still attention. And if you scold a toddler or preschooler to prevent a behavior, you’ll be doing it all day and night and you’ll both be miserable and ruins your relationship for life. You won’t like yourself and neither will anyone else.

Ming, could you please do a video focusing on elopement/dangerous behaviors that we cannot just ignore? I know the advice in this video will help in the long run with all behaviors, but can you make some recommendations on what should be done in a dangerous situation when a child will not follow instructions when safety is an issue? Would appreciate it so so much.

Praise the best ignore the rest but what about behaviors you don’t want they to repeat. A simple ‘no’ does not get them to stop doing what they are not suppose to do. Ex: my 3 yr old language delayed boy had the dishwasher door opened all the way and was climbing on top of the door. Which can break. My mom told him 3 no’s and he didn’t comply. How are we to ignore something like this? If we just pick him up and off does he understand that he’s not suppose to repeat this behavior?

Mine is 2 years old and makes the noises above that someone is complaining their ONLY 9 month old makes. EACH CHILD TO THEIR OWN! But I do think mine is having a speech delay that we are also being told from professionals.

My baby is 9 month old only says huh, hmm and angggaa that's it. He plays on his own, if kids are running he crawls fast behind them, i am getting crazy thinking day in and out if my baby is autistic? One day last week he suddenly blabber a lot continously for sometime and that's it, i only hear huh and annnga with mouth closed that too not often, is this speech delay or autism ?

What do you do when the child causes harm to himself/others or something dangerous? I can not ignore him in that instance

I have the same question. Would love a video about children with or without autism who are eloping and running into danger and will NOT come to be when it is very important. I do not play chasing or running games with him bc of this, don’t want to encourage it. It’s terrifying. I can tell…he’s not trying to be bad. 💔
