I always feel stress trying to hurry up and get my daughter transferred from her chair to a ride. It does not feel okay to hold up the ride. Thank you and Andrew for spreading the message that it is OKAY 😍

Do not feel stressed most guests and CM's are patient! I am a CM at but at WDW and(not attractions though) but I always tell wheelchairs etc. to take your time!

Yes, yes , yes…. And thank you to all the people that say it’s ok! I always feel rushed to get my son out of his wheelchair and onto the rides and off … he’s almost 100lb now and it’s getting so hard . Therefore to know there are so many kind people who understand I thank YOU!!!

Special place in my heart for those that would fake a disability. The "to the front of the line" is not a perk for those who really cannot wait in line. Anyone who really needs DAS would gladly forfit their disability & be able to stand in a long line.

Yes!!! As a wheelchair user I completely agree. I would very happily wait in long lines if it meant I could walk unassisted.

WOW! I am not disabled and don’t go to Disney with anyone who is disabled. I do admit I have been frustrated with ECVs and the Omnimoving rides slowing down BUT I will now be finding myself more patient and understanding of everyone. Everyone deserves to love Disneyland and we’re all adapting! Love this! Thank you so much Chris! But thank you so much Andrew! You’re funny and informative and I love this video!!! ♥️

Thank you for understanding.... we went for my daughters make a wish trip and got so many dirty looks. We even had one guy tell his kids....loudly of course don't worry she will be dead soon. She had several brain surgeries the month before and fighting the side effects of her first brain tumor.

No offense but real question: WHY does a ride slowing down for a few minutes frustrate you? I'm not trying to be rude I just don't get why anyone would be upset over something as minor as a ride slowing down for a few minutes.....

@@skullgirrl757 just generalized frustration with things not moving? Have you ever been frustrated when something took longer than you wanted it to? My own naivety to other peoples situations was what was causing my frustration. Being educated and understanding others disabilities or limits is something I’ve been working on. Especially after Chris introduced us to Professor Andrew. I didn’t ask, so I wasn’t told. As someone without a disability, it’s easy to forget that some people need a little extra time to get on rides. Learning to slow down and just enjoy the extra time I have on the ride has been life changing tbh. We’re all learning and growing and I’m just happy that PPP is willing to educate and introduce us to amazing new people! Sorry for the long reply, but thank you for asking. 🖤

I am an old guy that seems to have beat the crap out of the nerves in my feet with the work I did in life..landscape contractor that was always on his feet. I have Tarsal Tunnel sysndrome(same as carpal tunnel in the hands but it's my feet. I have problems standing..walking I'm ok..it hurts a bit but doable. When I stand those nerve impulses to my feet get scrambled and it can get excruciating so..I use DAS and they are so nice to me..always. People with disabilities also have emotional issues dealing with it..mine is personal frustration because I just cannot be a normie anymore..it gets to a guy that has been active all his life and most people do not understand. Thank you Chris and Andrew for your love and consideration for us all..you guys are AWESOME!

Chris, You may not know but my wife has a visual disability. She carries a cane in large crowds. We used the DAS pass because stairs and the twisting lines cause her issues. With the DAS pass, she had a magical time. The Disney staff was extremely generous and even helped her get take the extra time needed to get in and off the coasters etc

Hi, I'm an adult with autism and being in lines for so long gives me major stress especially seeing the line getting longer makes me uncomfortable and I tend to regress. While I understand Andrew doesnt have this I'm glad he brought insight of the DAS to me because I will be using this during my first disney trip.

I'm not sure if this is what Andrew was talking about when he said "stroller swap", but I do know that if a child uses a stroller instead of a wheelchair they can get a special tag from DAS that lets cast members know that their stroller is their mobility vehicle to help their time at Disney run more smoothly.

Yes this is what we get for my son diagnosed with autism his stroller is treated like a wheelchair since his stroller is his comfort from all the noise around him this helps a lot

Hallelujah, someone does a disability access videos for Disney land. Things are so much better now, than when I was little. It wasn’t easy to get around nor could I ride some rides.

I absolutely can recommend DAS. I was recently diagnosed with something that makes it nearly improbable for me to know how long I can predictably stand up to be in line. I literally had no idea if I'd even be able to make it a full day on my feet or even twenty minutes. Signing up for DAS was a pain in the rear, but once I was signed up for it, we were able to get in pretty much any line we wanted with little to no fuss. I wish Disney managed their lines completely virtually like this for all guests honestly as it completely removes any real wait times in the line. I think the longest I waited the whole time was 75 minutes to meet Princesses with my kid. I wish I had seen this video beforehand for an education, but it's not that bad if you have to sign up and Disney is super patient in making sure you get it right.

same with my gf. She has trouble at random times standing. She got into a car accident and broke her back. We tried signing up for the service but I think because we are young 22 they don’t believe us. So we just go to get food and if were lucky we can find a line with a short wait.

We’ve taken our intellectually disabled son to Disney all his life (he’s 27 now). There have been many versions of the DAS over the years. We were at Disneyland last December when they rolled out the Genie. It is awesome! If you need it, use it! Chris, we always love you, but you are at your best when you’re with Andrew. 😍

DAS was a life saver for me when I went with my partner earlier this year. I was able to get to see most of the park that I wanted to before my fibromyalgia, and anxiety got too bad at the end of the day, and because of DAS I really enjoyed myself for my first visit to Disneyland ever. Thank you for these videos, they really helped with our trip, I didn’t think I would enjoy myself to the fullest without the help, especially when I’m an adult woman with Autism and have a hard time with interacting with people in person. So thank you once more, keep up the good work and bad puns and dad jokes, really puts a smile of my face!

@@RaeAnn_1202 me to country bears was worse than the Tiki room which I thought was cheesy AF at 12. We went last October. My son wasn't even 3 and barely tolerated the show. I know many love it and the song is catchy, but more than a little cringey.

@@elisharoberts1029 I know so many loved Country Bears and it is very sentimental. I completely respect that. For me, the last time I saw it was just before they were removing it from Disneyland. My kids were 6, 7, 12. We all thought it was really corny - and not in a good way. It just shows how different we all can be. I have attractions I feel very sentimental about that others would disagree about (but seems everyone is unanimous about missing People Mover). It is interesting how protective people are over attractions they are sentimental about. Disneyland is wonderful and creative.

i'm a quadriplegic and used the DAS pass. it works great! BUT, I need help transferring and some of the rides actually shut down completely and need to be reset if you can't board fast enough. i managed to kill Monster's Inc. and Alice in Wonderland. they made everybody leave and come back after it was reset. i was mortified, but I can't move quickly enough for some rides. even with assistance from several family members.

As someone who uses this service these videos gave me more insight. So thank you so much. One thing that was not mentioned is that DAS is good for 60 days. For me being a local this makes it so much easier at Disneyland. Once I sign up for it if I want to go back to the park after my first DAS visit I have another 60 days to use it without going through signing up again. It’s on my account for the app. Not sure how it works in Florida would love to know since I plan a trip out there soon. Also PPP can you please do videos on how it works for Knotts universal and 6 flags that would be awesome

Thank you and Andrew for making this. I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and now I need to use an ECV because I can no longer walk long distances. If you are new using an ECV, know this. Crowds are tough to navigate and be prepared (and forgiving) of the people who don’t see you and walk right in front of your vehicle. Happened to me tons of times in DisneyWorld.

Some Walt Disney World DAS info: - Wait until you get to the parks, and register at Guest Services. It takes 10-15 minutes, versus hours of waiting for the pre-registration. - You can use your Magic Band when you return to the attraction for your ride time, instead of your phone. (Especially helpful if you're a wheelchair user!) - Annual Passholders can get a DAS that lasts for 60 days at a time. Be sure to write down your end date, because there's no way to look it up later. - Several WDW rides can be ridden while staying in your wheelchair, including It's A Small World, which has a special private boat with a ramp! (You'll feel like Cleopatra on her royal barge, since you'll be sitting four feet higher than everyone else.) - Unfortunately, the parking lot trams at WDW are NOT accessible, and do not serve the disabled parking areas. It can be a really long haul from your car to the park entrance, so allow extra time. (Especially at Magic Kingdom!) I'm a wheelchair user, and have PTSD issues (severe claustrophobia, etc), and I'm also a WDW local. I'm happy to answer questions if you've got any!

I could not love this video enough. I have a special needs child but he handles the park well and doesn’t need the DAS pass the way others do. I still found your info so helpful, not to mention entertaining. I share an office with a coworker and I watch your videos with an airpod in my ear. I laughed out loud multiple times watching this and she gave me some of the weirdest looks.😜 You and Andrew are both hilarious and I enjoyed this video so much! Thank you for doing what you do.

Chris I believe the stroller swap was what we do for my son with autism his stroller is his safe space from all the noise and lights of Disney so we do a stroller swap where his stroller is considered a wheelchair and is able to access everywhere a wheelchair goes this helps my son to stay calm and we get to enjoy Disney

First off, Country Bears rule and Pooh Bear rules slightly less. Great timing with this video. I am taking "Spring Break 2.0" with my wife and my niece(Amanda) starting Wednesday. It is my first time using DAS. Prof Andrew is awesome. I have been coming to Disneyland somewhat regularly since my honeymoon in 1993. It is good to see Disney finally doing more than the minimum to meet the ADA requirements. DAS and adding more companion restrooms will make a big difference for the disabled community. I am pretty new to Provost Park Pass and I love it. I have been a DFB guy (I still love AJ) but I have been missing boots on the ground reports from Disneyland. You, Amanda, and Miles are the best. Keep up the good work.

Chris, You & Professor Andrew were amazing! I have osteoarthritis and had told sister & friends how I'd STILL be able to enjoy Disney with a disability. Gotta get rides in on my favorite "mountains" Plus Peter Pan & Small World. Love monorail @ both parks, but Disneyland's is so special because it actually goes through the park. Fred (Country Bear Jamboree) reminded me of my Uncle Homer. LOL! I told my sister thsi when she saw the show. She couldn't stop laughing! WTP is a fun ride. Bucket list on for me is the one in Tokyo. Thaks again for the info. I remember the vid on Sprinkles.

I have two kids who have ADHD. We go to Disneyland next week and I’m not sure if we will do DAS but it gives me comfort knowing it’s an option. My husband was firmly against it but I explained that DAS exists so people can have EQUAL access. If our kids are starting to lose their minds in lines and are melting down, then we don’t have to spend thousands just to end up frustrated and broke.

So much to say here..first thank Andrew for me and tell him..we both know who REALLY has a disability here(CP). I live the Professor when you have him and I'm grateful for the DAS system. I've used it many times in the past and wondered how the new system works. I wish they would have a place for us for the fireworks..I'm sad they took that away. And...Country Bears is WAY better than Pooh...I love Pooh but..

Thank you for mentioning mental disability. In september I'm going to disney for the first time. Im so excited but also so scared my mental disability will ruine the magic for me. Im so scared to get disapproved for the das pass in my interview cause you cant see a mental disability. Wish I could do the interview right now instead of feeling stress till one month before the trip. Your video does help a bit reducing the anxiety and stress

Though I do love the DAS pass and the ease of use with the app....my only complaint is for those who get the pass because they cannot stand in a long line.....and then there is a long line because of genie+, I just wish there was a separate line from genie+ in some of the longer line rides. But this last time we went my son also had a wheelchair due to an ankle injury and that line is usually super quick!

Screw that noise. The way I see it, standing people were put on this earth to serve _us!_ 😂😉 But seriously, when someone loves you-family, friends, romantic partners, etc.-they don’t consider you a burden. That’s your own self-doubt talking. Tell it to STFU and focus on all the stuff you can do. I’ve used a wheelchair thirty years, and in that time I’ve learned everything from how to dress myself to driving a car and holding down a job. Disney is fun, don’t get me wrong, but you don’t need it to be happy. You make your own happiness wherever you are. I’ve found it with, among other things, helping out at my church, being an honorary aunt to my friends’ kids, and learning to brew my own beer. Doesn’t mean I don’t have bad days, but more often than not they get outnumbered by the good days. Everyone is “worthy of being loved”-well, unless you’re like Pol Pot levels of evil. And even he got married after committing a mass genocide, so hey, there’s hope for all of us! 😂🙂

Thank you so much for this video and for all you do for the disabled community. I rented a scooter this past Saturday and it was my 50th Birthday, so I had some extra mixed feelings about needing one. But, because of the nightmare day I had on Friday (so painful), when I didn't get one, I got there early and scored a rental. I reflected back on this video and it gave me confidence and encouragement. It also gave me some great tips to follow and I just want to tell you, it was one of my very best Disney days EVER! I was treated so kind and with such compassion. I asked a million questions and no one was irritated with me..lol! I got around so easily and my body didn't cramp up like it usually does. It was amazing! I was shocked by how many attractions I was able to ride the whole way through. It was such a huge blessing and a relief! Thank you again! I hope anyone reading this review will be encouraged to try a scooter. I'm now considering buying my own, because I learned they often run out by mid day, so keep that in mind.

Great video and very helpful. My wife and I have been going to DL for years and until recently didn’t know about DAS. She had surgery on her knees years ago and can’t stand very long without starting to get a lot of pain. We almost quit going to DL since she equated it to pain. We’ve been using DAS for about 6 months and the joy of DL has returned for her.

So a few things that are important that we’re missed out cause we just did this. You get two fast pass per day you have the DAS. We have it for 4 days and we have 8 fast passes two per day. Also we have to have my daughter go on the ride in order to use it. So we can’t use it for two different people in the party. If you call like a Sunday evening to do the online interview I didn’t have to wait at all. It also doesn’t work for character meet and greets. Great video. Lots of good info.

Thank you so much for this video! It was very informative. My daughter has a Cohen syndrome diagnosis as well as being on the autism spectrum. It is my dream that one day she will join our family at Disneyland (our favorite place). You guys are amazing🌟✨

As shown on 7:38-8:21 but if I had to choose one I think in my heart ❤️ I think country bear jamboree would be the win 🏆 in my book but I would say that both country bear jamboree and Winnie the Pooh Pooh’s hunny hunt are actually attraction that focused around bear 🐻 so I’m going for country bear jamboree.

I wanted to add Chris that we appreciate this video. We were admittedly apprehensive because of what people said about the hassle of getting into the park with a disabled child. You have completely put our mind at ease and gave us a really good perspective of how and what to do to make things go smoothly.

Yay! Makes me so happy that you will be making new videos as Disney updates the DAS program. I use a walker and visit the parks very often with my babies. We get to enjoy Disney and my little ones don't miss out just because of my health issues. It's very empowering to still be able to enjoy the rides. Every now and then when some Disney caffeine kicks in, I race so fast to get to a ride/show/restaurant/bathroom that the wheels on my walker wobble and shake.

Thank you for this video. I utilized this service for the first time my last trip because of your and Andrew’s video. You helped me me not feel bad for utilizing the service. Some additional things I have found out. You can only have six others on you DAS pass. Another thing is if you are going with someone who is not linked to your account but they are going with you you can provide Disney their ticket number or even the email linked to their account and they can help you navigate for them to accompany you when you are using your DAS. Thank you again for the video! I too love country bear jamboree!
