You should wait at least 2 hours before applying anything else after you applied minoxidil. You want it to fully dry and be absorbed by the skin first. On the day you're using a dermapen (no roller!) you should apply your skincare products a couple hours before. When you use the derma pen you'll create holes in your skin and you don't want to rub anything into the holes, it can cause inflammation. You need to be careful.

You have to keep using minoxidil regularly for at least a year, otherwise the new beard will fall out again! You want the hairs to be fully developed, which takes a year or a year and a half. At first you'll grow baby hairs, but you want them to become thicker and thicker, otherwise they're too weak. But after 15 months you can slowly taper off from minoxidil, you don't want to stop immediately.

Liquid on the beard works WAY better. I started with liquid for a couple months, switched to foam and almost lost every gains. The foam can't be absorbed as well by the skin. If you're using it on your scalp like it's intended, you want to use foam though because the skin on the scalp is way thinner. If you use liquid on your scalp it will dry out and you'll walk around with a super itchy and flakey scalp all day. It was so bad that I started to massage olive oil into my hair because it was so itchy lol.
