I'm 16 i was so eager to have my natural hair back that i only waited 3 months and big choped went to a barber yes a barber and cut it all off the shape was like a round shape i didn't wanted anything specific about confidence i had it and still have my friends and even teachers told me that i looked good i felted good but whatshaked me the most was that my own family would mock me and say that i looked like a boy i didn't had any support from they part but fortunatly i'm very persistent and strongminded and didn't let that affect me but it let scars. PS: GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS

@@jodi-.- I feel you. I used to struggle back when I had that big chop. But then I just forgot about it because having stress is the lack of hair growth. I tried different techniques and hair products on my natural hair to see if it will nourish it. Then after all of that work, swoooooooooooosh my hair has grown from TWA to jaw length (I know that's not a term). I was shocked to see that my hair has actually grown. Then I kept on doing the exact same techniques and then again swooooooooooooosh my hair had grown from jaw length to NL. I was very impressed. It's 2019 now in the month of May and my hair had grown from NL almost at CBL. Almost there. I know, crazy right? All it takes is a little confidence and you will make it. I know I am a little too late for this, but I'm just here trying to give you and other people courage... if that's okay with you. I believe in you. By the way, I have been natural for about 3 years now. Good luck.😁😊👍😉

So with you on trimming. I went to this girl and Everytime she told me my ends were damaged and dry. When I went to someone else, she told me that my curls are just so tight and I didnt need to trim... If you want a stylist, make sure they know what they are talking about and keep one so they learn to know you're hair.

Shuniece Frazier my moms ex stylist told my mom that she shouldn't trim my hair at all so it can stay longer🤔 but if I don't I get REALLY bad split ends so it really does all depend on the head of hair. Then again my hair is 4c so the strands are really small and they can break off easily if detangled wrong

I’ve been watching your videos since you had like 17,000 subs and you’ve really inspired me to make my own wigs and wear wigs because I’ve been natural for 2 almost 3 years and my hair gets really dry when I get sew ins and I usually leave hair out instead of getting closure because of the cost. Now I’m about to make my own closure wig soon using one of your wig videos as a guide because I just cut off my damage hair from leaving my hair out and constantly applying heat to it. And it’s like wigs are better because one: you can choose to add a closure or frontal which makes it easier for growing your hair all together and keeping it moisturized; two: they last longer cause you can take that bad boy off at night and put it back on in the morning😂. Thank you for inspiring me

Cute makeup look and cute hairstyle. Great tips . I did my first big chop in April 2014 when my hair got cut off I didn't feel as confidence as I should have been but from there I decided to loc my hair up and I felt like a boy the first day I got my locs started . But now I'm glad that I went natural and I'll never turn back to getting perms ever again. I never been a loose natural at all.

I left relaxers 10 years ago, but I still would get blowouts regularly. Today, I decided that it was time to big chop. The heat damage was disappointing. It is a very short cut and so this video has helped me retain the mindset that I had initially going in. It’s just day one and I am so excited for what’s to come. I’m so glad I found this video and I look forward to learning so much more.

Number 4 was such a great tip! I big chopped a second time after 2 years bc I didn't like the shape of my hair, and I felt like I couldn't wear it out like I wanted to. So I got a tapered cut and now it's growing back out and I loveee the shape!

you are so right about having confidence when you go through "the big chop". I am someone who has kind of always been known for having "long hair" even when I was a young girl. But as I grew up and had friends joining the natural hair movement, I became more and more interested in ditching the creamy crack lol. I was curious about what my actual/natural hair looks like. Any time I would bring it up, most of my friends would tell me, "no! don't touch your long hair!" But even though I was discouraged for a long time, I got my mom to cut off my hair and was rocking a twa and it felt awesome, different, and new. I felt like I was really getting to know my hair. It has been almost 2 and half years since I cut my hair and I honestly think that my hair is the healthiest it has ever been after ditching the relaxers and listening to my hair :) I mean I thought it was full before but omg my hair is FULL y'all lmfao and when I pull it down after spraying water on it, it goes down to my boobs/cleavage ^.^ lol but I cut it whenever I see split ends (I can't stand those lol). But yeah anyone wondering about going natural or going back to relaxers, at the end of the day, do what will make YOU happy and just take care of your hair the best way possible

I have a question I really hope you see this before my big chop my stylist decided to flat iron and hot comb my hair down to see where my hair length was then she chopped It Off but ever since I've been trying out your shampoo methods I can still see the heat damage on my hair even though I chopped It Off the curls are beautiful but the ends are straight should I cut my hair again and this time put no heat in it or should I give my hair time it's only been 3 days of my big chop Journey

Hello Gorgeous, I'm 42 yrs old today and I'm trying to do the transition from relaxed to natural. What I want to know is that I came from a bloodline of curly hair, so will my transition hair come back naturally curly?
@SincerelyYahmina
@SincerelyYahmina 6 жыл бұрын
I really didn't want to transition because I hated my ends and stuff so I big chopped in February I really loved it but was embarrassed to show my hair because of the length when you start freshman year off with shoulder length hair then a few months later have it a little past ear length so I hid it until I had a puff and then I was doing my normal styles but I never wore it it out like a wash and go till this summer and i love it but I don't do it often so there's no friction between my clothes and my ends

Halfrican Beauty-how often do u recommend waiting before u dye your hair? i had been relaxed for about 15 years. i got a big chop November 16, 2017 after a student at beauty college applied permanent color in my hair after i asked for a rinse. my hair broke off so bad. i got the relaxer-then-another girl at another beauty college big chopped my hair. even though it's been 3 months-there's still a little relaxer in my hair. i'm dying to dye my hair. i want it burgundy. i want all the relaxer out 1st-then i want to dye it. since i'm addicted to relaxer-i'm going to relax my hair again after it's been 1 year or maybe 2 years. by the way-your hair is absolutely gorgeous.
