Not gonna lie, they are taller then me! I've done some early spring pruning since they actually reached two meter mark. Im looking forward to replaniting them into my future house :D

@@fatimaparker3917 Unfortunately no :( Its easy, you'll get to the same point I am with my trees in no time :) One more thing, those lemon trees are really huge... Mandarines I wanted to plant wouldnt have enough space so I left this idea in the void for now.

I have just planted my basil cuttings, now I must remember not to let them dry out on their sunny windowsill with a warm radiator underneath. I always repot any Basil plants I buy in the supermarket to make them last longer, so now I have extended use of my supermarket plant. I also gave the compost a pinch of blood and bonemeal, my favourite magic fertiliser for veg.

Love fresh herbs ,must remember to take more cuttings .Always freeze herbs for winter use .never thought of taking cuttings from basil ,I will try that .thanks.😇

Project Diaries, I loved mint, and everyone here especially loves it in my home made mint ice cream-I hope to someday gain back my sense of smell and taste and rid of asthma-courtesy of covid over a year ago-I am really missing out on basil equals pesto, mint tea, fresh cut green grass-eating only to avoid hunger... I cook using recipes and asking family members for feedback, really different and hard for me-but I am alive and here to enjoy family and learn from great people like you who share their wonderful knowledge. I am about to start a garden for the first time and feel so clueless but I am going to do it no matter what, as I know that is what my deceased mother in law was going to do in her home, which is where we all are, due to a job change... never give up! Thank you!!!

I've gotten multiple tomato plants from the cuttings of one plant, but I didn't know it was easy to do with herbs as well. Hopefully I'll be able to enjoy fresh herbs all winter now.

I was just about to throw my leggy basil away, I never thought about taking cuttings. It looks like you are making good use of Grandad's lean to you made earlier or have you made more than one?

Hi Lee, I don’t have a sunny window so I was going to put the cuttings in a mug with water outside. They will get some direct sun but mostly shaded. I was concerned that it be to hot for the cuttings!? They have wilted a lot already .......

I have a question: if you have a good non-drafty window with 6+ hrs sun to place them in during the winter, is it good for the plant to be kept in an active growing state all year long? Or is it best to let them go kind of dormant for a while? Thank you.

I know dehydrated herbs you buy in small containers at a store interms of cooking is 3 times as strong. So the rule of thumb in cooking is 3 times as much real fresh herbs to dehydrated herb. But if you can regenerate and dehydrate at home this might be cheaper then store bought seasonings/herbs/spice blends for somethings. Do all herbs and spices usually work this easy if you already have a starter plant to regenerate them ?

Hi Lee I have had so much trouble with Coriander, I grow it from seed and it comes up but does not thrive the plant is spindley and weak and flowers far to quickly I grow it in the conservatory any advice

Your videos are great! I'm going to try doing this now with some of my herbs that are going to seed...it will save time from waiting on seeds. What can you recommend to make my mint leaves bigger. They look great at the store, but a year later, my plants in the ground and in pots are producing much smaller leaves.

Hi Lee! I am always confused; 6 hrs of sunlight means the sun actually shining on the plant? Or the natural light without obscuring it with object, other plants, etc. I have s/w facing windows, much light, not much direct sun shining in when the chill sets in. My kitchen faces n/e, and the herbs I try to keep just don't seem to like their place on the window cill. From Amsterdam with love and blessings. 🌷❤️🙏🌟

Hi Stella, If you watch my Lemon Tree Video there are a few techniques you can use for low lighting. They don't need direct sunlight, just long periods of light. Heat lamps, UV strips etc can be used also if you have them. I loved your email and will reply as soon as I can. Many Thanks :D

I’ve learned something … I though hormone rooting powder (once dipped on the cutting) went straight in the soil - not the water? Will they still root in water without hormone rooting powder? Decided going to have indoor herb garden - it will double up as room fragrance too 👍

Best advice would be to grow what you like to eat. Tomatoes, Peppers, Various herbs etc are always good for small gardens. Glad you like my Channel :)

Help... instead of growing roots the submerged part becomes black and weak. The leaves still grow tho. I changed the water everyday and didn't use hormone. I want to repeat with hormone, but anything else I should be cautious about?

May I know how often you replace the water when you put the cuttings in the water? I live in Malaysia and although we never have cold day, it is sometimes too hot here lol. I've tried to plant basil so many times already (by cuttings and store-bought plants), but it all died. The stems often turned to black when dying. Had the same problem with rosemary too.

It could be that your cuttings are done with an infected cutting tool? Shouldn't need to change the water. Are you putting too many cuttings in one pot?

Thanks for replying. I usually put only 3-4 cuttings together. I didn't check my tools though... Should disinfect them before doing gardening works for now on lol.

That's fine. Just make sure they're getting lots of sunlight and if the water turns green, change it :)
