Oh Yes, it is inspiration to me, to know that I don't have to go buy a bunch of new stuff to start my patio garden!. I'm trying my hand at this for the first time at 55yrs old and it's overwhelming to have to learn so much in seemingly little time...( with the state of things) i want some self-sufficiency. This tower works great for lettuce, spinach, onions, garlic, kale, bell peppers, chili peppers and much more. So great for small spaces 💜

I was thinking for the central pipe, place worm bedding mix in the bottom 2/3, then toss in a small handful of composting worms & half finished compost in the top 1/3 . Drill some airholes in the white cap & cover with fine netting to keep out flies. Add at least one length of pvc 1 in pipe to directly water the bottom 1/3 better. That soil mix he used will compress down over time. As built in video, that compost looks like it will go anaerobic. You can do this with a large vented plastic hamper. Also consider using black landscaoe fabric as a liner to help it breath. Put a couple of bricks in the bottom to keep it from tipping over in high wind.

Worms need to be able to come and go from the compost and the pot. That might work if the planter itself were buried in the ground with escape holes.

Просто супер! Можно просто поставить где-то в саду, и красиво и полезно. И места не много занимает, как например у меня полторы сотки, да ещё две берёзы на них с двух сторон в два обхвата. Не разбежишься с грядками. Кругом одни корни. Всего Вам доброго! И новых идей!

Yes because I did it with Spanish thym but without the mesh better than the adding of compost over and over. Putting it in th pipe is very convenient. Great idea i must try that

I used water bottles for my center and garden cloth in place of the plastic bag. And plastic pipe in the center. I felt better using water bottles because they’re good grade

Playback speed on 150 is perfect. Use chicken wire and burlap to avoid chemical absorption in your food. Love this video, thanks subscribed!

Plants can usually filter out chemicals and the chemical level is so minut it doesn't even matter. so what you're saying is a huge misconception. You don't always need to use food grade BPA free plastic to grow your veggies in.

I like your cute pot. All my pots are above the ground. I used clothes baskets $1 each from Dollar Tree with black trash bags. Biggest mistake I made I poke too many holes where I have to keep watering watering several times to make sure the dirt is moist. I also put dish pan underneath to collect water from it. Thank you for showing us. Mine is similar like yours.

Wow good idea if I didn't have any pots! You can use it for just a compost container too.....love it. I will have to find that green plastic material.
