I have sprouting sunflowers unexpectedly, so now I'm searching them up! I had a planter on my patio, and apparently some of the sunflower seeds from my bird feeder fell into it. I didn't notice until they were at that ~9 day mark (in the thumbnail). So now I'm going to love them as best I can! It didn't even occur to me that that could happen.

to me sunflowers can really brighten your home. your sunflower seeds probably were not treated with anything and good soil, you got your self some beautiful flowers growing.

@@tresbrown684 weather change caused them to die and start to rot. I replanted new ones and the babies are slowly growing.

That's good. I hate it when I have setbacks like that. This autumn some lawn mowers came into my backyard where my garden was. My father told them I had a garden there and to be careful. I went outside 2 hrs later... WHOLE GARDEN GONE! They ran my cucumbers over my potatoes everything!

@@TitiDianapetsitter I started mine late in the year. The flower heads are just starting to open. I have them in big pots on the deck. I'm about to transplant them outside and see how they take off before it gets too cold. I will plant the other seeds in the ground spring. I see folks grilling and baking the heads. They say it tastes much like corn on the cob and under the tender seeds is like an artichoke heart. I want to try. Can't find anyone who sells fresh young heads online for consumption... only for crafts. God bless! 😊

@@onota8527 I also planted directly into soil, it was a damp humid environment (when it was still seeds, it was introduced to dry weather as soon as it sprouted) and it had sunlight for about 12-15 hours per day

I planted it direct to the soil without any process and i get healthy plants perfect one ❤ and i purchase seeds from local markets in Rs:5 i get 35 seeds and all are growing healthy and am so happy

This was so sweet with the music and the video clips I felt like I was watching a child being raise ...I think my green thumb is thumbs down this year or maybe I'm trying too heard... my daughter is growing a beautiful garden of everything at her house and I'm hate-ing like damn....But I'm going to try this...It's hot as hell out side this year here in DT but it's doing my small garden no good I only have 3 small sprouts peeking out the ground I laid out since April....I planted those ladder sun-flower seeds special order....If anybody have and suggestions I'll take it....

Why do ppl let their seeds sprout in a paper towel? Planting directly in the soil always works so much better for me with almost every seed

It's just that putting it in a moist paper towel makes it more quick and easier for the seeds to germinate.

We put some wildbird seed out for dozens of birds who visit our yard each day. A few weeks ago a single sunflower plant started to grow. Now it has 5 or 6 lovely flowers on it. Im considering putting more seeds in some potting mix to see if i can get some more or was this a one of. Cross fingers i get more. They are beautiful

Mine growing taller and so fine at first. But too crowded in one pot. So i decided to move one of it into another pot. Few hours later, it withered😭 maybe i did a mistake during moving out the plant. I guess i'll do it again. This time i'll try follow the instruction in this vid
