Great video! What is the notation for flute growl? I am writing a flute obbligato for a friend to play and I would like to indicate growl in the music.

There isn’t a standardized way of writing it honestly because people use it a lot more in improvisation than in written music. Some people use the symbol that’s usually used for trumpet shakes, but I wouldn’t expect a flute player to know what to do with that symbol. I have a Jethro Tull transcription book that just writes “sing” when they want you to growl. You could also just write “growl”

That's pretty good it kind of reminds me of Jethro Tull party animal ‼️she's got it down to a science I wish you could give me some lessons in person and the only music would we make would more likely between the sheets and I don't mean sheet music ♦️♦️♦️‼️
