Why would you force that wire through the A-Pillar? Theres a airbag installed, which gets blocked by the wire!!!

Any idea on why camera shuts off randomly and turns on then just stays off ? Even when hardwired like this ?

I would think it could possibly be one of three things. Bad ground, it's over heating, or the memory card could be failing

I have the ground in the exact location that you have it yet still same issue

Hey I have the same car and DashCam and I bought the hardwire kit from Vantrue. When I installed it for parking mode I received a low battery notification the next day when I went to start the car. I’m not to sure which fuses I would have to connect it to keep it in parking mode while preventing it from draining the battery

I have this one installed for a couple weeks now without issue. I daily drive mine. Does your car sit for long periods of time? Could also be a coincidence that you installed a dash cam and you need a new battery

@@DanVilla7 I installed the hardwire kit last night and when I woke up it gave me that notification. I just switched the fuses exactly to what you have and it’s working good now. Thank you for taking time to respond and your channel has a lot of videos regarding questions I had about the car. Definitely subscribing for more content :)
