A deeper dive into "diatonic chords"...
You can find the diatonic chords within any key by building triads on each of the scale pitches.
In C major, the scale pitches are: C D E F G A B. So, you'll build triads on each of those notes, only using pitches within the scale itself (that means no sharped or flatted notes).
In A minor, the scale pitches are: A B C D E F G. Now build triads on each of those pitches. You actually have multiple triadic options in minor keys depending on whether you're using natural, harmonic, or melodic minor. It affects only the iv(IV), v(V), and VII(viidim) chords.
Just remember that diatonic means "involving only notes proper to the prevailing key without chromatic alteration."
