I could see if giving other people headaches, but for me, it makes me go blank. 😂 Plus, I've also been meditating for about eight years. I guess you just have to find a medium that relaxes you and use that.

it is easy to get freaked out by this kind of stuff. Most people would just dismiss this as psychosis. Unfortunately we live in a fairly rigid society, especially if you live in westernised countries who are far too concerned with what is "normal". We live in a pretty weird and cool universe, and only in this human vessel for a limited time. Just explore, and love one another. Peace

1. Do it when you’re tired (everyone’s different). Lay on top of the covers, don’t move on your side. Make sure your subconscious mind doesn’t convince you stop the practice because of the restlessness and itching. Relax - don’t be stiff Mcstiff 2. Remember any dream you can think of and think of your role in the dream. Recognize who you are in the relationship to your dream (friend , enemy , uncle etc) 3. Come back to 3D. Think of the roles you’ve already played in your 3D dream , even if you’re not proud of them. It’s just you 4. Re imagine any dream with the acknowledgement of character roles in the dreams. You know what to expect and it be more accurate and pin point. You know what to look for and you’ll look for any character in the dreams you’ve ever had. 5. Trick yourself , Try to forget where you came from with affirmations. Try to forget where you came from. Affirmations create subconscious barriers which prevent you from accessing your memories (friends, who you are , where you are , anything in this dream, this character) Whilst observing the characters in the many dreams you’ve had. Pause and stop observing and think 8:52 6. Choose to forget who you were looking at. It’s natural to forget. You would’ve forgotten anything tying you to 3D 7. Stay in this state , and the outcome of this state depends on how well you do the previous steps . Then more you do it the longer you can spend in this space

I experienced an ego death experience using magic mushrooms. I fell through a funnel of my own memories and learned some things of my past that I never experienced before. I learned that from the time of me being 4 to 6 years old my grandmother used to verbally and sexually abuse me. I lived in Mexico at the time, and both my mom and dad lived in the US. My grandmother used to beat me and squeeze my genitals too hard when she bathed me. My mother used to never believe me so the abuse went on for the 2 years that I lived in Mexico. Im 23 now.

so i have a circadian rhythm disorder that basically prevents me from falling asleep until maybe 6 in the morning. however, over the past week or so, ive started meditating and its helped me with anxiety i deal with. 3 nights ago, i actually managed to "fall asleep," i probably reached the 4th stage of sleep, but because of my circadian rhythm disorder i was unable to mentally shut off and i actually fell into my subconscious. i mean i literally remember thinking but it was from like a place beneath where i consciously think every day. so i was kinda bored and i decided to visually construct a file cabinet within my mind, and within this file cabinet i placed all my subconscious thoughts and feelings, and i literally came up with questions about my self and was able to discover the answers to the them by opening up the file cabinet and finding the corresponding file for the question. in this way, ive started to come to truly know myself. im still working on it.

I think this happened to me 1-2 years ago. It was early pandemic and I didnt know how to get out of that sort of trance. It took me months to recover from this. I convinced myself I was just imagining it. Music partly was what helped me get into that trance at first. I had a goal in mind I didnt know how to achieve and I thought that with the new trance i had achieved that I could obtain that goal. But then i started to notice that there were times I couldnt process certain information. So much so that I spent so long trying to fathom, understand and bring myself through the thinking. I came to one conclusion that gradually got me out of the trance, that the meaning of life is to experience, to live.

Ryan, December 19 I found out that my ex boyfriend Conner died from an overdose...for the first 6 months of our relationship he was sober...you know when you meet someone and your souls "click" ..that's how it was with him...we were connected, I remember one of my frienda telling me how conner and I would literally just be making noises to each other and not even talking, but we were laughing and somehow knew what was going on...its like we spoke a language that no one else understood, after the first 6 months he started spiraling dowhill, but we stayed together for about a year, and then on and off for this last year before his death, he was always my person...that person who I felt pulled too and who i knew deep down on a soul level that he was the one for me...noone else could compare...we connected and had intense chemistry on every level...now that he is gone from this earth , I dont know what to do with this feeling inside that would always "pull" me to him, its like I can feel myself inside trying to connect to something , but I can't make the connection...i wonder if there is a way for me to talk to him now, to his spirit, or if hes still around at all- that's something I'm struggling with... Wondering if hes really just gone forever into nothingness or if he is still here with me in spirit...i had a dream with him in it- we were in a car- he was driving-we were about to go over a bridge- in the dream I knew he was a ghost, as I started to realize this I got scared, because if he was a ghost who i could see and hear then that meant other ghost that I didnt want to see or hear might be able to talk to me, as I realized this 2 phones in my pocket started making scary noises and he said "merp you have to throw the phones out of the car so they cant get to you" (we called each other merp) I threw the phones out..then we were in a type of hotel and I saw normal people and ghosts in the hotel- I could see a ghost standing beside a lady trying to talk to her, but of course she had no idea and couldn't see the ghost, so I tried to spray her with water to get her attention... Anyways it was a crazy dream but my main question is- is there a way I can safely speak to him? Or see him and feel his presence? I want some sort of confirmation that he still lives somehow....sorry this was so long - I would message you but I dont know how -

The breakthrough is flying upwards into infinity. Before that there is a tingling feeling that originates in your feet and ends in your head. Concentrate only on that feeling . The words he is saying like 'forget, dont worry its ok" are the thoughts you need to have to breakthrough. There is no color. It sounds like wind or like the wind hitting your face. There is no body. After that you go into lucid dreaming. First few times you get scared but once you let go it will feel like you are falling upwards not downwards to absolutely nonwhere in any plane of existance

IM SHOCKED TO HEAR ALL THIS! I have gone to a very similar experience when I meditate before I sleep (particularly with music). Thing is, I never knew feeling any of this was a thing and I wondered why I seem like the only person in the world who can intentionally go into this state while not on drugs (prior use of mushrooms kind of gave me the mental framework to gain the ability to access this state). Ive talked to friends about it and just started to feel like Im crazy or exagerating. And almost everything you explain are the exact same steps I have personally learned to reach this state, albeit, with difficulty. For me, very particular kinds of music is a must. (C418's One really pushes some buttons in my mind). From experience, ive learned that if you wake up 2-3 hours into your sleep to the right music, this state comes almost effortlessly and even unconciously. But its rare.

When i crashed my motorcycle i hit a large rock and whent through the space where the handle bars are and in a blink of an eye my body went about 5 feet in the air and somehow twisted or turned and i landed perfectly wedged between the other side of the rock and the ground and if it didnt twist my head would have crashed into the ground and i would of most likely broken my neck but right when i hit the ground it was pure white or it was just bright like a sudden flash and i felt amazing no pain, no fear, no thoughts at all exept "wow I feel great" and i felt no ground as if i was floating and i couldnt feel my body but then the flash ended and it was as if i crashed back into my body and all the feellings came back at once and just rushed right back into me and to my surprise no harm was done to me not even a bruse or a scratch not even a headache or anything and ever sinse that my mind sort of changed it seemed like. But i still wonder how i twisted in mid air without anything pushing me or without myself twisting.

ITS NOT HARD you don’t have to do eight years of meditation or take drugs. The absolute easiest way is So-Hum mantra meditation. Its the space between thoughts. The space between breathes. You just have to become AWARE of it. OR just ask yourself who is listening to the thoughts I’m having OR ask yourself Who Am I really? those are the basic fundamental steps. The rest is your journey.

Your conciousness and awareness is pretty insane. I've already actually gone through the first 5 steps in waking thought before and wonder if you think it is possible that concious, waking thought can be meditative? Might it perhaps be possible to acomplish the 8 steps fully awake and concious and I wonder what might it look like from the outside viewer? Perhaps some mental breakdowns are what concious ego deaths can look like and manifest as? I can consciously have my eyes open and consciously have my vision go grey and eventually go completely blind whilst still having my eyes open so I wonder if I can manage this. Great video, love your stuff, much love.

I feel like some aspects Ryan talks about are _contradictory_ to each other. Here he says, we dream when we have unfinished business, which is usual for an adult. But animals, babies and toddlers also have dreams. It's not like they always have unfinished business in their minds right. I also remember Ryan talking about remembering astral projecting/having dreams as a kid I like that Ryan proposes a lot of ideas about spirituality, and as an open mind I can really pick and compare different theories that way. But like I said some things are a bit contradictory Another point is that science tells us that we have dreams so our brain takes daily activities, turns it against us in a imaginable situation, to see how we react and can learn from that for future physical events.. or something hahah

I can sense Ryan, what you are talking about. "I Myself become part of 3D , part of moment/awareness itself..". that's my way of expressing death of EGO experience. With being in the moment always it can be eventually experienced and no drugs are required. Thanks for sharing

There are a lot of similarities between what you are talking about Ryan and the Shamanic Journeying that I do. Whilst journeying I have a place I go to which id kind of like my personal garden or starting point to move on from. I have found that if the plants are overgrown and I prune them or I plant new flowers, when I return from journeying there will be diffrences in my life, those around me or situations. Whatever I change there changes something here. There is a great book called Seeing in the Dark. I think its by Graham Hancock. He and another guy spent a year living in darkened conditions with the aid of a Shaman. The result was that they had removed their learnt frame of reference, for example what a square looked like. Its our brains that transalte the image and make it a square but take that frame of reference away and all they saw where lines and spaces. They didnt recognise it as a square. It took about a week for frame of reference to come back naturaly now they were living in light. Interestingly whilst they were without the FOR they were seeing random beautiful phosphenes or glowing colours that didnt have a physical origin, they were seeing beautiful payterns such as fractals and sacred geometry in everything instead of seeing them as the ordinary daily objects that they were. Great book and thoroughly worth a read.

The problem is I don't get dreams. The moment I sleep everything goes BLANK
@ShNarges

You always dream but you forget. You need to ask your mind to remember and it will. If you manage to improve your sleeping quality and wake up at the end of one sleep cycle in the REM stage (each cycle is 90 mins), there's a possibility you remember, but you have to write it immediately as you get up or you will forget. If you keep writing some of your dreams in the beginning, you will remember most of your dreams from then on.

The only ego death experience I've had without drugs was when I passed out sitting down. I woke up sitting upright with my eyes closed and had no idea where I was or even who I was. It almost felt like my brain was spinning in circles. I kept my eyes closed for about 5 minutes and after I opened them, I felt super relaxed and calm like I've never been before.

I had a similar experience when I passed out after having blood taken for the first time. I woke up and just remember seeing darkness. My vision didn't come back yet and I remember feeling annoyed, annoyed at the unfamiliarity of what was happening. I feel like the feeling of coming back into consciousness in my body was what was the most disturbing to me. I also had no recollection of who I was, what year it was, or anything. I did not wake up and feel calm when my vision came back but rather sick but that's typical of passing out. I will never forget not knowing who I was though and having no concept of anything. Of course when my vision came back everything came back to me.

I would like to review this technique - It works! I did this accidentally a year ago and had my first breakthrough. However, I would like to warn people that coming back from an ego death is a challenge. I had a hard time accepting my ego and almost always had psychosis related symptoms where my mind would be yelling at me and my awareness would reject these voices which made the voices louder. I think even Ryan warns us in his other videos that you shouldn't play with your subconscious. It will backfire and you will regret it. Although I have revived from this, I would say that the recovery hasn't been smooth. I have a similar technique to this which may be easier to follow, let me know if you guys are interested in knowing.

according to buddhism there is no such thing as the egoless self, because ego is what we call 'self', so how can there be a non self self, its conradictory
@SuperDirtyLion
@SuperDirtyLion 7 жыл бұрын
The ego is an illusion of your self-image based off of past memories and experiences, The egoless self is nothing but awareness. That's why ego death can be so frightening, you lose all your memories and the things you held on to in your mind to make you feel comfortable about who 'I" is and become nothing. and everything.

Hi Ryan! Thank you very much for making this video. What you just shared with us is exactly what I was waiting for. Have you heard about Patricio Dominguez and his experience of DMT? He said that on the way back from his DMT trip he recreated the universe the way it was when he left. He said there was nothing forcing him to make it exactly the same but he was simply nostalgic.

I am very afraid of death and can't really deal with mortality and the meaninglessness of life. I hope an egodeath can help me see dying in another light but i also fear to start thinking suicidal thoughts and just end up in this spiral of panic, because i've heard that this can be a "side effect" of a spiritual awakening.

Beside with psychedelics i experienced ego death after water fasting and circular deep breathing. The "easiest" way is to combine breathing techniques/meditation and mushrooms for example. i noticed that it happens when accepting and trusting and giving in. Sometimes from a ego perspective this feels like giving up.

Wow. That's some awesome stuff. I love your quantum jumping theory, you should really test it yourself if you haven't already. I think a good test would be to put something on a shelf, away from where it originally was, then on the way back in, change it back to where it was before you moved it. Another test would be to write something on a piece of paper, then writing the same thing on another paper, then changing one thing on one of the papers so you have a reference to what it was before the change. And just like you said in this vid, just a theory. I haven't tested this, but I certainly will when I can.

A friend of mine who use to dye his hair like my anime characters died. We came up with concepts of basic style with gears around our necks and simply being. And since then I've been in a psychedelic trance of trying to find his spirit and bring it back from the astral realm. In one of my dreams. I was in my next reincarnations body and someone gave me a gun in a futuristic mall. I got scared and threw the gun into my bookbag and it went off. I could feel the unconscious beings around me reacting to what I did and I ran. When I was in the parking lot running from people I seen on random Facebook profiles. I saw my friend again. In this lifetime we both had black/brown hair with red locs and gold locs on the corner of our edge ups. Actually demonstrating the spiritual understanding of the right and left brain as if they were spiritual eyes. But in my reincarnation dream. I have red hair with a gold patch and he had gold hair with a red patch. Demonstrating a form of balance between us not seeing each other in person in my time which brought his unlucky demise. But back to the dream; we heard sirens for fire trucks and ran toward the freeway bridge. Took a cut and I ended up where my preschool was. I went to the restroom after Latino men in a barber shop questioned why we were so tired and kind of sensed that we were up to no good. So I went to the restroom to just clear my head. When I was in the restroom I could sense two spirits behind me. One who carried an essence of life and another who carried death. They are two of four spirits I found deep within my being to heal myself and push past an intense break up that ended with an abortion and my ex swerving to other dudes. Since then; I've had dreams of her unconsciousness coming toward an awakening. And those four spirits around me. The talk about the astral realm is definitely true. I know for sure that these women exist. And I don't pursue them with intense sexual intention. But to help them grow and open their 3rd eyes. Thank you for your video. I was really dealing with a bit of depression until I reached an ego death. I'm on 19 so I'm learning what my ancestors have lost with soul searching in the astral realm. Follow me on snapchat @publicadvisory and you'll understand what eye see and these people that I am talking about.

Hmmmm, ok... I was wandering what exactly happened. Cool Thanks. It is a little creepy when i look back on it. But it was weird 'cuz it didnt bother me at all, during or after. I believe my boyfriend did wake me though, bc he started talking to me as soon as I woke. But I just kept ignoring him bc I didnt know him. lol... The way Ryan describes an ego death is the closest description to how it felt. Kind of felt like a complete amnesia that came back to me very fast. I actually laughed about it,a bit, when my memory returned.
