No problem man glad I could help. I've built a ton of those Kent seachange bikes and they are decent. One thing to watch out for in those is the little circle clip that holds on the little sprocket on the rear wheel.

Thanks for the tutorial. First time doing this, and it worked wonderfully! The "discolored" chrome from heating actually looks pretty neat on my pipe. It gave it a cool purpley-blue color. :)

For those wanting specifics, he heats the inside of the exhuast for about 65-75 seconds, and about 30 seconds on the outside.

Awesome! Just the video i was looking for! Was nervous about doing this. Not anymore! Is the last step i need to do before being able to ride it! Thanx a lot! 👍👍👍

Good vid man. Just a heads up. When that mapp propane gas runs out, just buy the small green fat tanks of propane for camping. Like 3.50 each. Way cheaper. And it works with that same torch.

Leather gloves bub. Thanks for the video. Didn't think propane would get hot enough.

Very nice vid man. I usually just put it in the vice and bend it without heating it but heating it looks alot easier

I need to bend my scooter pipe about a half-inch at most. Do you think it's possible without heating it? I don't want to do it while it's attached to the cylinder because I'm afraid of breaking the weld at the header flange or the studs that hold it in place and I don't have a vice so I think I'm just going to wedge it in between the fork in my tree where it V's off and pull on it but obviously I don't want it glowing hot when I do that. I live in an apartment and don't know anyone else who rides here so my options are very limited. I already had to cut the damn mounting brackets to get it to even bolt on the bike
@smallfeetmcgee6 жыл бұрын
you can also tweak out the pedal but I only would do so on old cheap bikes with one piece cranks :)

Thank you this was very helpful I do have a question for you about a clutch cable and the clutch lever on the engine I bought it from a friend and it's not engaging how can I fix it first time doing one of these builds 80cc 2 stroke

It’s good for a quick bend but you should put it in a vice it can strip your threads in the cylinder wall
@therealrobert58772 жыл бұрын
He started the video off correctly… guys make sure to remove the exhaust from the bike and go far away from the gas tank before doing it…

Is there a way to get some of the burn out? I already did this as I had no other choice. It doesn’t really matter that much but I would like that part to look a little better.

If you get it red hot than that spot will be far weaker than the welds on the flange or your head.

Nice! Mine aims at the ground right now, if I where to actually drive it and hit a speed bump sitting as is, it I would be done, who knows would damage could happen, ports broken for the exhaust studs to much more >.
@motorbikesbyjason90836 жыл бұрын
Robert yes the studs can handle it just fine. As you can see I upgrade the studs and nuts to coupling nuts. As long as you heat the muffler up enough it will bend very easy actually
@motley6796 жыл бұрын
Good to know! Better than how I was going to do it, I was going to cut a V out and weld it back, this is much cleaner :P. Yeah I see those, I will have to look into something similar. Thank you
@robertsmith53235 жыл бұрын
you can feel if it isnt hot enough. those studs CAN take some torque. keyword: SOME. hot metal bends almost effortlessly. hes got mapp gas and a big torch tip. mine is the smaller, pipe-sweating kind so i have to hold the torch on the spot 3x as long and it still doesn't almost liquify like his did. his was just about to melt through. that's friggin HOT. if it aint moving with easy pressure,... then STOP and heat it more or just take it off. my first bends were done between 2 tree trunks--loool
@richardnewton95865 жыл бұрын
when i heated it up ...bunch of smoke came from where it attaches to motor?? can i do this on a bike that im already riding with fuel and all??
@Andrew-my1cp5 жыл бұрын
That might have been the gasket that attaches the exhaust to the engine getting too hot. Maybe take off the gasket, bend the exhaust, and then put the exhaust back on.
@roryhovey74753 жыл бұрын
Perhaps just excess fuel and premix in the beginning of your header burning off.
@Baldys_projects6 жыл бұрын
should do the whole pipe and the tip of the muffler it would look killer!

You mean like one of those titanium ricer exhaust that have that pearl color to them? Yea that would probably look pretty sweet.

So i have this problem right now. What kind of torch is that, and gas? Propane? I tried and it didn't get hot enough and i had the flame on there for a loooong time. The metal never got red with heat. Any tips or ideas why?
@johnjacob6774Ай бұрын
It's map gas used a lot in plumbing for soldering copper

@@johnjacob6774 hmm it's a blue tank though. MAP is yellow tank. nevertheless i got mine bent finally with regular ol propane.

idk why your muffler is touching the pedal, I use the same bike and use various engines and Iv never had them touch
@motorbikesbyjason90835 жыл бұрын
It's probably because your motor is not perfect straight like this one is. Also it could be because different manufacturers of engine kits use different mufflers.
@robertsmith53235 жыл бұрын
you can also elongate the mounting holes so they look like slots and just move/twist it to where you need it and tighten the stud nuts down.. i gotta bend mine because it sticks way out in front and i want it tucked against the frame/bottom bracket so cops have a less obvious target---kinda like bruce jenner--LOOOOL. pa-doomp-TSSSHH!!!

Dont u guys just love when tutorials skip the most important part?? Bruh, set the camera down, rest it against something, and continue on... why make a tutorial and then just say "oh well u get it" as such a crucial part? pfft i cant stand this shit..
