I have been suffering from this since I was 22. I am now 39 and my legs are almost completely covered with spider and varicose veins. I have a couple that's really noticeable. I haven't worn a proper pair of shorts in over 10 years. I wish I could wear shorts and short dresses. The makeup I used I spent $60 on from Ulta and it still didnt work. It made my legs look kind of red. I'm afraid to go for surgery because it might give you blood clots. Have anyone else had this problem? I'm going to try your advice. I hope I can find the right tanning lotion for my complexion, that's if they have any. I've never even thought of that.

I've had a really dark vein on my left leg since I was a child. Now I'm 21 and I've noticed more veins on my leg surfacing. It's been hard because I do theatre and I'm very self conscious when I'm wearing costumes that shows legs. I've tried makeup but I notice in certain lighting, it's obvious that there's a specific spot being covered. maybe I need to paint my legs with it. thanks for the advice!

Oh this video is brilliant!! I have suffered with thread veins since I was in my late twenties. I have had a lot of Sclerotherapy but I am finding that treatment is not as good as it used to be. I have given up with it, but make up is the way forward!! Thanks I am going to try your trips

Thank you for sharing. I don't mean to be adversarial, but I feel compelled to share that my spider veins are about 200x worse than the ones you showed and I'm COVERED. turning 40 soon, have had em since 20, too. My mom is covered. Despite countless sclero therapies and laser. I've never had either and am financially in hell, so I feel like I will never swim or wear summery outfits again. I live for swimming and water and I have a temp issue where I'm ALWAYS overheated, so this couldn't be a bigger nightmare. My circulation SUCKS as well. What also adds to my depression over this is the fact that my back is loaded with degenerative issues (sciatica, sev badly herniated discs in lumbar and neck, Degenerative Disc Disease, spinal stenosis) and swimming is the only exercise that doesn't hurt and that can help build support for my spine. And the only one that won't make me overheat. But meds I have to take for my spine and advanced fibromyalgia have caused me to gain a ton of weight that no matter what, will NOT significantly budge (hormones-?-). So Btwn that, being pasty/covered in scars and other discolorations, and RIDDLED with spider veins, esp legs and now feet, I'm not exactly racing to the nearest pool. Plus, I live in NYC and don't have access to a private pool. Anyway, I just wanted to say that for anyone like me (they have gotten explosively worse with messed up hormones too, btw. Don't know what's causing them yet), many of your tips will not work. Like tanner. It won't hurt but it won't look lovely and air-brushed either. Anyway, I'm happy for you that you've found ways to regain your freedom🌞🌈💫

I started getting varicose veins on my legs pretty young . I think I was 17-18 when I started getting them & I'm 30 now. ( its hereditary for me) It's only on the inner part of my legs next to my knees so I feel your pain. It's such an insecure thing I deal with on a daily basis . Dermablend leg & body foundation works amazing ! Definitely try that. Its so simple & you just set it with translucent powder & you're good to go for 16+ hours .

WOW I thought I was the only one I'm 22 and I started having them since I turn 20 and I think it was because of the Contraceptive pill and hereditary background, my mom and my grandmother etc. Btw I exercise, I'm not a sedentary person. So I don't think that's the factor.

I got spider veins on the backs of my legs when I was 14. I'm 15 now and they're on my thighs too. I'm so self conscious about them. I don't want to tell anyone because I'm so embarrassed. And they're not hereditary, but I'm not overweight either 😢😱

I have had these since junior high. My mother and sister have them. In 2012 I had treatments but, They are everywhere on my legs now. I am 69 now, its a lost cause. It is awful. The older you get the worse it gets. I found if I have to cover them use a orange color corrector like derma blend ( to get rid of blue color) then use Derma blend leg or body makeup over it then translucent powder.

Will lighter shades work as well? I don't have spider veins ...I just have see through skin on my entire body...head to toe it seems.

Girl! We literally have the same story and I live in Van. I already have prescribed compression stockings, but as a student it's tough to rationalise the price to pay for vein treatment procedures as they are usually not covered by extended health (since they are mainly considered an "aesthetic" procedure.) I have found that none of the docs I've seen take this seriously, even though I developed them at a young age like you (aside from one that sent me to get an ultrasound done on my legs...but no other docs will give me the referral to meet the now expired 2-year follow-up to this procedure). I have pretty much daily edema, throbbing, pain...but since I'm not 70 years old docs just don't care! When you spoke about energy levels etc. I totally related and wonder if I am experiencing a similar issue. Just wanted to say thanks for helping me feel like I'm not alone with this struggle :)

Could I ask what the medical problem was that was causing the spider veins? I’ve been getting them since I was in my early teens, and also have an abnormally fast heart beat and chronic fatigue- both things that I’ve had tested without much avail. Did you have anything like that?

Hi, did the Sclerotherapy hurt? I had it done years ago and it did. Definitely need to have it done again. It worked although the person that did mine said mine we're almost too fine to treat 😏 I really don't know who to go to. Nobody I know has had it done. Thanks for the info! 😄

Hi, I have quite a lot of little spider veins but just on one leg, it's very strange. They have gotten worse in the last year. I also feel very tired all the time but am nervous that my doctor will just tell me to stop being vane as they are only concerned with serious issues here in the UK. But out of interest, what was the source of your issues? If there is a more concerning underlying issue, I would of course be prepared to see the doc. I hope you feel OK to share this info with us?

Well where was the demo? an actual USE of your ideas helps. Also compression socks do not treat spider veins but can help prevent for those standing a lot for work. But doesn't work for hereditary lucky ones like me. They are good for varicose veins from hurting. Once you have a spider vein its there until laser treatment or sclerotherapy. I have gotten the latter that worked on some larger spider veins very well on thighs, but on my calves, new ones still appear and the site of one treated area ended up with reddish blotches.
