Have a potential employment law claim?
The employment law field has become very crowded in the last few years as this practice area has been getting more attention.
It makes finding a great lawyer more difficult when you are trying to find the right firm for your case online - when every website looks pretty similar, everyone looks somewhat professional and competent.
HARD TRUTH: How a law firm will handle your claim can be VERY different.
You'd be shocked at how many law firms just want 'in on' the labor law party - and just give your case to an associate to handle or are afraid of going to court if necessary for the client.
Other firms have a policy pursuing the fastest route to settlement, with very little concern given to the true potential redress for the client. A churn and burn house packaged with a slick and polished website.
Watch as I share some of the most important questions you NEED to be asking when you are looking for an employment lawyer for your case.
The answers will help you quickly separate out great firms from the not-so-good. Because, let's face it, there is a lot at stake here folks - your claim deserves the best.
Review these questions, and if you get the wrong answers from an attorney you are considering for counsel - RUN.
Also, I quickly share my thoughts regarding a common question - attorney fees.
Attorney Fees: Do you really want to be bargain shopping when shopping for a lawyer for your claim?
With so much at stake when you have potential lawsuit against your employer - it's not the time to short change yourself.
Have questions about an employment situation?

This video five years later has pervasive value in my still ongoing situation. My case is now at the Supreme Court and I’ve lost 3 lawyers due to it being their first time at the rodeo and the defense attorneys kicked their azz. When dealing with these claims clients should know federal courts are the best place to be when raising claims of discrimination. State courts tend to have lots of judicial bias and “collusion” amongst attorneys in a certain geographical area. These claims are hard to navigate especially if you’re going against a government entity or “political subdivision” outside of federal jurisdiction. If you can settle the claim early. Trust me it’s in your best interest.

Employees need to have a opportunity to pay a lawyer to represent them at all times. Is it legal for employees to band together and pay a Attorney monthly to have at all times.

Hello. I am having zero luck getting any attorney in Nashville, TN. to even talk to me about my case ( not disability-related). I was fired after my ups truck rolled off silently into a mailbox after sitting fine for over 2 minutes. Apparently, it broke out of park. I was told later my handbrake was loose. This was my 12000th +/- delivery as a newer driver, I had never given parking a second thought, and certainly never knew my brake became loose. I realized I had never undergone any training on the job other than a sup telling me to move faster for 3 days. We did not get trained out doing deliveries. I hadn't even had a sup watch me do a pre-trip inspection or ever demonstrate any methods of parking at a stop. I contend that if they make this type of accident a terminatable offense in the contract ( cba - which we were never taught about), it should have to be documented that I was properly trained and I know for a fact that it's not documented with my signature. At the very least, there should be an alarm for a major problem such as the parking gear not engaged so I have a chance to fix the problem. Other drivers in other types of accidents many times more serious, get their jobs back. That is discrimination. This is also entrapment in an unsafe work environment where I didn't have all of the knowledge of what could become loose that was up to me to check and tighten. This could have killed me or someone else. They also owed me from a previous grievance that I won but never paid. UPS wants bodies in trucks for $20 an hour, no CDL or on the job training and they simply don't care if someone dies. There is not a shred of online training they provide for new drivers to keep learning at home. I would really just like to know if this is a sound case or not? Thank you. If a lawsuit was filed within 90 days of EEOC right to sue in a US District Court in California and Court had it for over 1 year and was recently dismissed for lack of personal jurisdiction without prejudice, does NY savings law allow the lawsuit to be refilled in US District Court in NY? EEOC had it for almost 2 years before issuing right to sue and lawsuit was filed within 90 days of right to sue. US district court in CA had it for over 1 year. US District Judge dismissed instead of transfer... He did suggest it be refilled in Southern District NY but it has been over 3 years by now when he dismissed it due to EEOC and Court having it for such a long time. NY Human Rights law is only 3 year statute. Do I have 6 months to refile it from dismissal from California US District Court in a NY Court based on NY savings law or NY CPLR section 205? I would appreciate an answer. The SFBar Fed Pro Bono person couldn't tell me if it applies for discrimination lawsuits dismissed in US District Court in Northern California for personal jurisdiction and refilled in US District Court for Southern District NY. Thank you. I am pro se.

Everything this man is saying is 100% please listen. I am in summary judgment phase of an employment litigation at this point. At first I hired the first lawyer who’s take my case. The defense attorneys kicked his ass. They stalled the case out. Objected to every request for admission. Made him agree to a protective order that omitted me from reviewing the evidence and then having to properly answer the admissions, interrogatories, and production. They also gaslighted irrelevant case law to make him believe my claims were worthless. Oh and by the way they filed frivolous motions to continue to stall the case. He took my case on contingency and bailed. The whole goal of a defense attorney is to survive summary judgment. If it’s a big corporation they don’t care about lying or fabricating the truth to survive summary judgment. Yes they have insurance to pay for the claim. However the goal is to survive summary judgment. They will try by anything necessary to destroy your claim. Richard Celler videos helped me out a lot. You need someone like him to fight against these dirty elite firms who are genius at working the federal and state court system.
