Best I’ve seen on the subject. I’ve got a 40yd practice green I use ans tried it and immediately got the low flight. Spin was harder to tell because cheap balls but I got what I came here for and appreciate it! I don’t need the tour sauce I just want to play my wedges lower to help my distance perception

I played with u in saskatoon a few years back now whole course was casual water but we played ball down haha

MrBrokentowels Agree!! I’m noticing that there is a high correlation between dislikes and “long” vocal instructions on golf videos. It turns out that people don’t like golf instructors instructing them how to play a shot...they’d much prefer to watch the instructor hit it!! I’d say most dislikes are from hackers.

I think all the dislikes is about the free throw thing, you don't want a low arc shot..

Some of the information is simply wrong, if you come in with a lower arc that actually hits the ball higher and this type of shot just counteracts it with a closed face, what you actually want to do is hit a real knockdown shot, which makes a softer contact resulting in more spin and also accelerating through the ball with a slightly open club face and shaft lean moving your body forward,, this results in the bounce of your wedge to prevent super fat shots and allows with a strong descending blow to not get stuck in the ground for massive divots, but hit a low super spinning shot, adjust your ball position for the needed launch angle, depending on the situation to get a one hop and stop up towards a 1 hop and 5 yards backspin with all nearly the same distance just based on ball postion and the only thing influencing your distance is the length of the backswing

@@fatsiddog Lol, yeah I still watch golf. Hard to compare eras with the changes in the ball, clubs,and modern day agronomy. Still think he was one of the best, just my opinion 😎

The strange thing about hitting down on the ball, is that if you do it too much you are actually hitting up on it. So it's more down, with a towing of the club grip to the left of the ball, looking from the ball strikers view. (right handed) But done with with only a certain amount of changing direction. That is the beauty of golf.

Christopher Harger Ideal spin loft for a wedge is 45°. Meaning angle of attack should be about -4 to -6 and the dynamic loft at impact should be between 38 and 40. This allows The club to launch the ball between 24 and 28° with roughly 1500 to 2000 RPMs of spin per 10 yards.
