If you struggle with chip shots and pitch shots around the green it's because you have a chipping and pitching technique that is either too complicated or your trying to use the same technique for all shots.
In this video Danny Maude explains the difference between chipping and pitching and shows you exactly what technique to use and when.
Here's what you are going to learn
1. How you set-up to chipping and pitching is crucial for consistent strikes.
2. Really understand the bounce and exactly how to use it.
3. Use a chipping technique for chipping but a pitching technique for pitching
So if you are looking at improving your confidence with chip shots around the green watch the latest video from Danny Maude right here 👇 • What Nobody Tells You ...

ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On KZfaq and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you hit your driver straight. If you are a beginner golfer and are looking for some golf driver tips that are simple and easy to do then you are going to love this.
I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.

1. How to stop slicing your driver

3, How to get the correct impact position with driver
and I hope to do all this with simple golf tips so you can create an effortless golf swing

After a year or so, I have come back to this particular video. Why? I spent a few months focussing on putting; then, I went onto chipping; now, I am going to focus on pitching. ( Later, the mid-irons; then, the hybrids and the fairway woods; finally, my big, booming 190-yard drive! 🤣🤓) Once again, I have observed your insightful, informative and instructive tips on pitching. Of note was the detailed explanation (with camera close-ups) of the bounce, of which I had no idea whatsoever before this. You are a gifted teacher, Danny. Thorough explanations, a few clear steps.

This guy popped up on my Facebook reels this week and I’m already hooked… by far the best swing instructor I have ever found. My short game is atrocious, but found this pitching and his chipping video this week and been practicing in the yard every day and I can tell I have made strides of improvement. Can’t wait to take these simple tips to the course.

Danny you continue to explain this better than just about everyone - starting from setup, and comparing it to the other shots, onto the followthrough. As a 25 handicap its really helpful when you compare the differences to the other shots. I find when I don't play often I will start to address the ball similarly for everything but putting and driving and that obviously ends in tears. Can't wait to go to the range until the weather up here in the Northern US clears up.Thanks again for these.

Danny this lesson changed everything for me. I've been golfing for four years and slowly working my way to single digit handicap -- but my shots from 70 yards and in were always just guesses and half swings. No one ever taught me how to properly pitch. I took this onto the course a few times now and it's so damn consistent. Thanks!

Great lesson. Johnny Miller did a thing with wedges for Golf Digest back in the 0s. He used you idea of feet apart distance to help define distance. I used this for over 30 years now and can walk my wedges under 100 yrs shots by 5- 8 yards with full swings. By putting your feet closer together you can't go back as far and turn your hips either. Thanks, You advice adds to my practice.

I learned more from this video about pitching than i did in 20 years of golfing, my fault for never reading up much but I always kept my ball about 70-100 yards away so I could take a full swing with an iron. One thing I read somewhere (Pelz maybe ?) which has massively helped my pitch shots was to feel "dead hands" - for me it completely stops the tendancy you talk about, when players aggressively rush into trying to HIT a pitch. I'm still a bad golfer (for now 🤞), but 30-100yrd pitch shots have become some of my favourite shots to play. - do pretty much everything you cover with the setup but my swing thought is to keep my hands "dead", or feeling numb. That, combined with a few swing lengths for a couple of wedges has started giving me surprisingly accurate results. Great video, and good to see one on these type of shots as they're often overlooked. As always, clear and well presented - keep em coming 👌👍

Very well explained, can't wait to put this to practice. This has been the worst part of my game this year and I can't figure it out. Thank you!

Great video! Love your videos. You explain it all so well. This is my favorite though. This is where I struggle the most. I'll be hitting the driver good and end up putting myself 50 to 85 yards from green, then duff it or thin it. Never knew the correct technique. Can't wait to try at the course.

I ❤ this video! This would’ve taken off about 6+ strokes from my last round. Facing 45-75 yard pitch shots make me so nervous out of sheer confusion on how to swing the club. Thanks for creating this, Danny! Heading to the range this afternoon to practice this.

I have always been pretty good with my wedge game inside a 100 yards, but it was more of a full swing with choking down on the shaft for different distances. Your way seems better and will try it . I especially like the "tick tock "
