Following up on last #tourtrucktuesday 's " How To Pure Your Irons " upload I have created the driver version. You may think the swings required are the same but as you will see in this upload that's not the case.
Learn how to address your driver for success and how you can adjust your angle of attack to become more efficient with your driver.
I use my TaylorMade Stealth Plus 9°, set in the standard position on the loft sleeve with my Accra TZ6 M5 Flex cut at 45.5" End Of Grip and a D4 swing weight.

Out of all the golf channels, I think Trottie is the best. Straight, to the point, and does a great job in explaining.

Dude likes 4’0” tall and hitting 300 so easy. Tells you how good his mechanics are! His ball striking with irons sounds like Tiger or Rory! Excellent content and explanation too! Thanks!

I tried your tips today and it worked pretty well. I lowered the loft on my stealth plus to the standard 9 deg and got a much better hit on the ball with a lot less spin. Tks.

Would love to see the transition inn the driver swing pls Trottie. Something i struggle with especially! Can end upcoming over the top and flip the wrists. Also something i wanted to ask is, should there be any bend in the front elbow? Keep up with the videos mate, really really useful!
@trottiegolf
@trottiegolf Жыл бұрын
Bend can only happen if you’re rotating. Flip or wrists , over the top , not enough turn & Club possibly too steep. So work on that before adding wrist flexion. Piece by piece 👍🏻

I've given up trying to hit a consistent draw off the tee. I just hit a low running heel strike fade and it gets the job done (like Trottie's first drive). Fairway found and I don't feel like I have to change anything. Golf is hard enough as it is

My instructor got me in to out no problem with left shoulder slightly closed so right arm stays just under left. I can open stance a hair and do this and get my path 0.0 with face a hair open to path for that high baby cut. Somewhere along the line my AoA got a bit crazy. I was up to 8* and shots flying up to 120ft. high. I got it back down a bit with a lower tee and switched to 9.5D instead of 10.5N on my driver (GBB Epic).

I noticed your left foot looks way more flared out than most people, I like that since I have a fused back and limited flexibility. Is that something you suggest for most golfers, especially older ones?

Can't wait to try this out on the range ! Is there perhaps a video of yours on relation of player's height and club length? I do know that everyone's stance is different so even with the same height depending on how tall you stand, grip .etc ideal club length could be different but I've been really struggling with all my clubs. I got a cheap Taylormade Set because I've only recently started playing golf and I want to get better and my fundamentals down before I actually get fitted. However all my clubs on the start of the takeaway I get the feeling of having to drag it through the ground a bit which I don't think is very good I know this is not that much information but may I ask you for tips on this?

I have gone through your video a few times now and have tried your tips. I have gained some distance. At 2 mins - 30 of your video, I checked your stats. How do you get a 2620 spin rate ?? I have a stealth plus set to 9 deg with a fujikura velocore black stiff standard length. My swing speed varies between 105 and 110. My problem is getting below the 3000 spin rate. Do you have any insight on how to lower the spin rate with the equipment I have??

Im hitting down on my driver about 1.5 on trackman and just bought a driver and got fitted into a 10 degree head if I can get my angle of attack up and change settings to 9 degrees would it have and difference with buying a 9 degree head ?
@trottiegolf
@trottiegolf Жыл бұрын
Yes. CG projections based on the loft you use are different, bottom line if you can get more efficient and use the 9* then you will get more from the club. Keep blending it would be my advice and work slowly in to the 9* head

Can you explain your process on how far back from the ball you are? You look pretty far back like your reaching to the ball with your club.
@trottiegolf
@trottiegolf Жыл бұрын
I used to early extend a lot (hump the goat) & it all came as a result of clubs that were too heavy and too long as a kid. The distance I stand from the ball has decreased significantly as my own swing has become more efficient through time but I still play a 6i at 61• & I only go -1/4 in length....BUT given the lack of time I have to dedicate to the game I have to live with this. Great observation though & big respect for seeing that and calling it out, we all have to swing our swings and trust me even Tiger has things he doesn't like but it's the mindset to accept and never lose the vision of playing the actual game opposed to playing swing.

Thanks for the explanation. I wasn’t criticizing or anything - with ur irons ur arms seem more like they hang straight down. So I was wondering why the 🧅 master looked a bit different with driver. I’ve been experimenting with my hand height at address lately so this naturally caught my eye. Thanks as always!

Hey Trottie, question. The better I have gotten with my irons, the worse I am with my driver. Like I struggle to even get it off the ground now. If I tee the ball too high it sky balls and if I tee it any other way its a hard 4ft off the ground with speed. My setup feels great (back shoulder lower, ball forward etc.) and I focus on swinging up on the ball but the outcomes are much different. Any tips?
