My advice to everyone is this : if you want to grow big this year especially in your finances. Be willing to make investments. Saving is great but investing puts you on a pedestal where you wouldn’t have to worry about savings as you do now. Thanks to my FA, my portfolio is doing really great and I’m proud of the decisions i made last year.

Nice. People often underestimate financial advisors' importance. Over 50 years of data reveal that those who work with advisors typically earn more than those who go it alone. I've been fortunate to work with one for 13 years, resulting in a $1 million portfolio, largely from early investments in AI and other growth stocks..

At the very least, I now grasp the concept of leverage. Creating wealth and financial freedom isn't as tough as many people believe. Building wealth and remaining financially stable indefinitely is a lot easier with the appropriate information. Participating in financial programs and products is the only true approach to make a high income and remain affluent indefinitely.

It's often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they feel the negative effects of emotional decision-making. I remember a few summers ago, after a tough divorce, when I needed a boost for my struggling business. I researched and found a licensed advisor who diligently helped grow my reserves despite inflation. Consequently, my reserves increased from $275k to around $750k.

The market trend can turn around very quickly. In fact, the indexes often switch from a bear market to a bull market when the news is at its worst and the mood of investors is at its lowest point. Hi Humphrey , I’ve been out of school (Mech Eng) for 6 months now, I’m 23 years old and I’ve been putting 70 percent of my take home towards all my debts. I’ve paid off 15k in student loans and 5k on my car and still have some medical. I’ll be all paid off by September. I’ve been working 60hr weeks for a while, and I know it sucks now but my future self will thank me when I have a good chunk of change to put towards my first home in a few years. Hopefully next year I will save 50k and have it rolling in the stock market to make itself some interest. Oh I am putting away 10% to Roth IRA with 3% match as well. Maybe you could do like a video on the sweet spot between overtime and work life balance, and how maybe putting in overtime when younger can be more beneficial than at like mid 30s when money is needed

Appreciate what you're doing on this channel but, Im not sure why people say things like "max put IRA and 401k" . Essentially saying "separate yourself from your capital, and trust the government with it." And the stock market might get 10% on average, but if peoppe need access to it, it stops the compounding and then gets taxes. Thats also seperating yourself from capital.

I absolutely love your videos, so incredibly helpful to a new saver/investor. I am about to come into a lump sum of money and would love your take on how to go about making the wisest choices with this money so I don't blow it on fancy purses and vacations :D I have a mortgage that is $141,000 with a 3.25% interest rate, no other debt if that helps at all.The lump sum would be more than enough to pay off the house but Im not sure that's the best way to make my money work for me. I'd love your take on what you'd do with approx $180,000 in my situation. Thanks in advance!!
@humphrey
@humphrey Ай бұрын
This one depends on if you value your peace of mind, with high yield savings paying 4.5-5% right now you could take that $180,000 and put it in there, generate the interest and then use the extra interest to pay down your principal. Or you could just take the entire lump sum, pay off the mortgage, and then use the remaining for HYSA or investments. Its really up to you and how much you value the peace of mind. Me personally? I value the peace of mind, so I may be more inclined to pay down a mortgage even if its not the most "financially prudent" thing to do. The best thing for you mathematically is to invest while your rate is low, but sometimes thats easier in theory than in practice.

Only save 5% at the moment as my saving pot has grown over 80k that grows at 5% interest, however I only keep 10k in liquid and the rest in T-bills (5.2%ish) 1-3 months to avoid local taxes. The remainder goes into investments. I believed i overly saved but it's nice knowing I can quit my job, pay for major expensive, etc. My saving pot is my personal baby bank. I pay back with interest when I borrow from it.
