Thank you for this video! Really helped with my motivation to continue homeschooling. I felt like i wasnt doing homeschooling for long enough with my 3 year old. Or that she wasn’t really interested at times. And i felt like i was being too relaxed with homeschooling! So, seeing you have a similar style to what i am doing helps!

Oh gosh, 20 minutes is about all we can do!!! I’m not worried about it at all. I’ve definitely found that having a theme a week helps her to stay interested!

Honestly such a helpful video! I’m also starting homeschooling with my 3 year old! It’s challenging but I do some homeschooling worksheets every day and we end with motor skills or creative activities incorporating what we learned that day!

Thank you so much for all these great resources. I have a 3 year old granddaughter I am raising that had battled cancer since one. She is doing great after a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately she had to sit out for pre•k•3 so I am teaching her at home. I don’t have the money to purchase anything to teach her so this is great that you’ve shared free resources. God bless you. It's been a long while since I had to teach preschoolers or any kiddo really. So many more sources available than when my kids were little. I did a lot of library visits. Hehe.

I had no ideas the amount of stuff you have to know to homeschool a child, I definitely think kids learn at their own pace and homeschooling might help with this

I did not... I made my own chart and created it myself to save money. But it did take some time to do it that way.

Addie Dwyer Where did you get your resources from your weekly theme/ schedule? If I remember correctly yours and the sample they have on ABCJesus is different. If I were to follow yours, wondering where to get your parent guide, worksheets, etc from.

The theme sheet I made you can get from my website (linked in the description) but it’s not really a curriculum. I use it in conjunction with the ABC Jesus program. I just like to have a theme for each week and teach the letters in a different order. I do have some resource links on the theme sheet that you can download, but they all come from the other sources I mentioned like totschool and mrs. pleamons kindergarten

I have a child that just turned 3 and I would like to get him started with homeschooling. He already knows his ABCs, 123s, colors, and can name some animals, so that’s basically a head start right there. Just a few questions: do I have to be a certified teacher in order to get him started with homeschooling? Or can I just get him started on my own right away?

It depends on the state - I would recommend finding a facebook group for homeschooling that you can ask the questions to. Or looking up notification laws for your state.

If she is 3 it should be as simple as just taking her out of school and starting to homeschool her.

It depends on the age of your child and the state that you are in. I would recommend going to the HSLSA website and checking there!
