Watch and learn as I bench test a 13 speed transmission on the table using a 13 speed shift knob and shop air. You want to do this after you build any transmission to ensure your gear timing was correct. You should get a better understanding of we’re your shift knob air lines go from watching this video so you won’t get stuck if you change your knob out yourself. This was a customers unit that needed a full repair front to back. She only needed a couple of things in the front box but multiple items in the back box. Best video I've seen that explains the air system. I just had my 18918B rebuilt and I'm loosing air inside the transmission. Frustrating trying to figure out where it's coming from.

If it’s leaking internally more than likely a problem with the range cylinder or splitter cylinder.

excelent demonstration. Hoping to find one on how the shifter knob works. I was hoping to replace it with a 3 way valve. I'd also need a valve for the deep reduction

I have a 13 speed that bucks on high and lows we swapped transmission already. And before the swap it would do it on the high and split gears. But now it does it on the low gears

Nice to see the splitter gear moving👍🏻👍🏻 but I wonder what's wrong with my transmission. I got a 13 speed and sometimes when I move the splitter selector from Low to High it starts to grind and it won't go into gear. I have to slow down enough for it to stop grinding and put it in gear. Mostly happens when shifting from 6H to 7L

So that's what a "splitter" is! It's neat to see what's going on when the little splitter switch gets flipped. So a splitter is like a gear ratio doubler that's integrated into the body of the manual transmission. Can someone answer me this then: around how many times can the splitter be operated in normal conditions before the transmission needs to be overhauled? Is it like 1 million actuations before things start wearing out? Or is the splitter system and gears just one more thing that gets addressed all at once with a full transmission overhaul?

There’s some extra wear taking place there when your manipulating the trans in and out of gear to make the split. A lot of people do it this way I don’t understand why when you can simply lift off the accelerator.🤦‍♂️

Could you purchase that pre-assembled rear auxiliary case by its self for a specific transmission and put it back on the truck

I honestly don’t know if they would sell it that way,if they do I’ve never seen it. I would think probably not because of the way everything has to mesh together. There would probably be to many warranty claims from people installing the rear section out of time or mesh. Then again mabe they would like that 😂.

You need to buy a K-3331 splitter cylinder cover. Someone probably put the splitter cover off of a super 10 on there

Tranny supply is 110psi or so however consists of air pressure regulator which limits the pressure to anywhere in between 57.5 and 62.5 psi which in the end is transmissions working pressure
