It feels like most people show only the things that work in their videos, but I always love to see the mistakes that people make a long the way so that I know what WON'T work I would have definitely tried to use blue painters tape to prevent the film from folding up on itself.

Yes just like you said you did not leave the activator for long enough as after activation it is meant to turn into liquid and as you could clearly see there is still film present which is why you got creases and Folds in your finished product

I'm sorry but sorry but you people don't know what is going on that was all wrong and the parts could have came out better if he knew what was going on the film want ready and it wasn't enough activator so many things wrong with this.
