After you dip on water need to dry or you can dry with a cloth? And also to aply lacquer do you need to prep or pretty much straight forward

perfect ! Does it need to have clear top coat to be shiny? does top coat help to have long time satiability of film on parts? Actually I'm asking for OEM parts, which should pass cross cut test and chemical solubility

The clear coat is indeed yes what gives it it's glossy finish as well as what protects the dip. Without applying a top coat you risk damaging the dip as the dip itself does not offer any durability.

Why you don’t immerse the part in a horizontal way instead vertical?

You can technically dip this either way, just we felt it was better when we was dipping it to keep it more at an angle like we dipped it.

Need a lil help. After I dip the piece and when I start rinsing it, the graphic starts to come off from some areas while rinsing. Am just rinsing under the tap with cold water and not too much pressure also. What am I doing wrong?
@LiquidConceptsUSA
@LiquidConceptsUSA 4 жыл бұрын
If it is rinsing off it could be a few things. Either one it is over activated or that it is not bonding with your paint due to using the wrong paints or it has cured too much. If you have some photos you can email over I can take a look at it for you. info@liquidconcepts.com

@@LiquidConceptsUSA the tank I tried using was about 8in to short for the frame as it was a 50 gallon drum cut in half. Had to dip in muti stages. In between tape jobs the tape would stick to the fresh dip and peel it up.... dip , clear, tape, sand , repeat was the process and it took awhile wow. Looking into a old plastic truck box as my next dip tank. Having a larger tank should solve it.

@@Couldntellya Yes you certainly want to make sure you have plenty of tank for the item that you are dipping!

I was wondering why it is so expensive to dip Wheels. It's not a hard labor process to go through The powder coat my wheels is $65 a wheel and you guys want a hundred fifty plus dollars to dip a wheel that is a little bit pricey. I think especially when it only cost 13 bucks for 1 M of the stuff
@LiquidConceptsUSA
@LiquidConceptsUSA 4 жыл бұрын
Hi you cannot really compare powder coating and hydrodipping. In most cases it is definitely easier to powder coat versus hydrodipping. With hydrodipping there is more prep and time involved. You have to blast, primer, paint, dip the wheel, and then clear. In most cases depending on the wheel it might require a re-dip, touch-ups etc. The film is the cheapest part of the entire process.
