In this video Lea will break it all down for you and introduce you to this fascinating wild food and hedgerow medicine. Lea also makes a simple smudge stick using Mugwort.

Thankyou so much for reminding me of how wonderful this plant is. Mugwort is one of my favourite plants but it's been a long time since i've seen it about as I moved areas. I used to make dream pillows and smudge sticks with it but the pillows were my favourite. I mixed it with other dreamy herbs. I was practicing being lucid in dreams and you know what? I got pretty good at it after some time of working with this plant and journaling routinely as soon as I woke up, I enjoyed many a flying dream!☺

Thank you!! What is the latin name of this mugwort you are showing? Aren’t there several artemisias in the mugwort family?

You forgot to tell your viewers that it shouldn't be consumed if pregnant as it causes miscarriage. In olden times if a pregnancy was unwelcomed this is how it was sorted out - with strong mugwort tea.

I've never been able to find mugwort, does it prefer water-logged ground? Hedgerows?

We tend to find it in ditches along hedgerows and on disturbed soils. So it doesn't mind having wet feet.

Yes! Mugwort is very invasive in yards/gardens here in the Eastern US; take action if you don't want it to take over the whole yard. Good luck!
