The solution: NO MATTER how big mistake, just keep going and focus the steps you are performing. Examiner will not fail you just with one or two errors. 2. Practice, practice, and practice!!! 3. Try to practice in the area of your drive test center. Please do not go far places to pass. It will not work. I had this bad experience. 4. Must learn how to do emergency stop. 5. Finally, be confident of your skills and practice. Leave rest to the God. Good luck in your test.

As a driving test examiner who has conduced over 100K tests, I can tell you for a fact that asking how the examiner's day is going will do you no good whatsoever. The test is very objective. The BEST way to pass your test is to actually KNOW HOW TO DRIVE and be intuitively familiar with right-of-way protocols. COUNTLESS times I have has applicants who will not go over 20 M.P.H., stop at every intersection and yield to other drivers who don't have the right-of-way. BEFORE you take the test, go to the area the test is conducted and drive around for a few hours. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT PARALLEL PARKING, if you are like 97% of applicants, you are going to totally screw it up anyway, so concentrate on the more important stuff.

So I took my test today and failed because i almost ran into a car when i was coming out of the dmv parking spot. I didn't even drive two feet. Make sure you get your nerves under control because I got so nervous I forgot to look left and right.

Practice really IS the key. At the beginning of August I was scared to do turns in an empty parking lot and now I easily go on roads with 2-3 lanes either way and a speed limit of 70 km/h. And its all because my mom decided she wants a chauffeur so I've been driving her to places nearly every day :)

I would recommend not acting nervous with a driving examiner because when you are nervous you aren't comfortable and if you are not comfortable that can make or break your test 2:05. Some driving examiners like to see confidence I'm just saying.

If you want to increase your chances of passing follow these tips: - Always use your signal when changing lanes, turning or even attempting parking skills such as 3 point turn. - Follow speed limit accordingly, do not exceed speed limit nor drive to slow. - ALWAYS and I mean always observe your surroundings by using neck and shoulder movements. -Primarily use right lane. (left lane contains many fast paced/aggressive drivers) Don't hesitate to ask me any questions regarding the G test, I'll be happy to provide some knowledge. Cheers. Another good tip is that during your driving test you might feel "rushed" i'm not sure why, but I wana tell you to WATCH YOUR SPEED, even if you tap slightly over, they can take that as a point that you're speeding so keep onto the speed posted! DON'T RUSH!! this is your time, you paid for it, take your time by doing the extra things (shoulder checking at every turn) and let everyone drive or swirve around cause you want to demonstrate you're a safe driver.

Tester: has me do the parallel and 50FT backup. Tester: here’s your license. (Temporary one) He said he could tell I know how to drive sense I regained control of the car and stayed calm.

I just passed my G test, here are some tips: 1. Watch the speed limit in your area! my city was only 50km/hr and most people go 60 km/hr 2. Know how to emergency stop 3. Don't be nervous, tell yourself it's just another driving lesson. You already know how to drive, just show the guy beside you. 4. Practice makes perfect, keep practicing. 5. On the highway, it's okay to go slow if there's traffic, use common sense. 6. Don't be that guy that goes "up north" to pass because it's easier, it's Not easier i promise. 7. Don't be afraid to tell your instructor if you have a concern 8. Pull your turn signal ahead of time 9. Always check blind spots, and mirrors. 10. A lane will always open up on the highway, some take longer, but don't panic, always wait someone will for sure give you a chance to merge eventually, you're NOT on a timer, YOU make that decision, the examiner knows this.

You can apologize for mistakes you made while driving but don't apologize for every mistake you make, because then the examiner will know you never really put effort into practicing and that's a complete fail. That's only if you make a lot of mistakes.

With my G2 and G test, i had full blown conversations with my examiners. I can tell you about their spouses, how many kids they both have, how long they’ve been working there, and what they had for breakfast that day. I can even tell you where one of them gets her lashes done lol. I passed on the first try both times lol.

The driving test in USA is soooooo easy compared to Australia. Having done both in Australia they will straight up fail you if you forget to blind spot check turning in streets in a quiet neighbourhoods.

Don't worry about the parallel park too much, I hit the curb on my G2 test and still passed. Just focus on the actual driving portion (checking your mirrors, stopping before the white line, etc).

I passed all fields of my driving test and the last minute when I have to backup to a stall (which I had so much practice backing on into a right stall)... I was so nervous and he made me back up to a left stall and I did it really slow and he failed me because I was too close to the other car. I asked for a second chance but he refused... so they will fail you if you did one wrong move even if you did everything else fine

As someone who went on Friday know something else that apparently “impresses” the examiner? A clean car!! I had my test suspended and I was put on stand by ( I was told that I now may have to wait all day) due to not enough fuel (my indicator was 77kms to empty) and she also said that “it would go a long way if I would clean my car”. So I had to go fuel up to half a tank and go through a car wash. Seriously! No where in the literature does it say anything about gas or a clean car. It’s February, all cars in Ontario right now are covered in a film of salt. I was beyond annoyed as I was already so nervous about passing my G. So be cautioned people, have a full tank and a clean car 🤦‍♀️

Nerves are a very real thing. Tip for parents: let your kid drive to the testing facility. Having them jump into the driver’s seat at the test site is sure to amp up the nervousness. That drive to the facility lets that peak of nerves level off. And if you aren’t comfortable driving on highways or in busy situations, you may need more practice before taking the test.

I live in canada and I had young drivers and my teacher said that the only way you can really fail is if you run a stop sign or a red light or don’t obey the right of way. So if you don’t do that, you’ll be fine... in Canada. Idk about other countries but we get up to I think 5? Or 6? Small mistakes without failing. But it seems like America is a bit harsher 🤷‍♀️ so you’re welcome fellow canadians 👍

I have to take the driving test 3 times in a row and pass all three times because I lost my license for a medical reason and am now medically able to drive. I'm nervous. I do this test tomorrow.

My examiner looked like the most miserable guy ever … but as soon as we got in the car he was the most professional and coolest instructor ever , even when I messed up he would give me the opportunity to correct or he will ask me what I did wrong.
