Excellent video as usual, thank you so much for all the advice! Which I try to apply as much as possible (like talking to me while recording it ahah). It is so nice, thank you ! To learn Korean, I watch a lot of youtube videos, especially vlogs, or reality shows or even podcasts for beginners. I also use netflix for shadowing. A big thank you to the Language reactor plug-in, it's so practical I think! For Korean I also often listen to audiobooks, so I hardly understand anything... but it allows me to listen to the language all the time. Oh and PS: I studied Latin for 11 years and now I translate texts for my work. I love this language so much ahaha. Thanks again for all the work you put into your videos :)

OMG that's awesome! You must be an expert in Latin. I am also digging Latin! I think it's gonna help me a lot with my English as well as Italian. So great to learn the root of those languages. Please feel free to throw any tips on Latin if you have any! I would be very happy to get some haha 😆. I really like that you are really maximizing exposure to Korean (and active learning in addition to that)! I think you can learn a lot from the reality shows. People use a lot of everyday phrases as well as slangs in the reality shows! So keep up the good work and have fun! Thank you so much for watching and sharing your journey xD.

Hi Jun! For me, I'm using the 5th tip. While working, I like to listen to Spanish radios & podcasts mostly. As for series, I used to watch Elite to understand a few words, but the series became too ridiculous, so I stopped watching it 😅. I also used to watch Buena Gente (a polyglot KZfaqr, MyLangs, recommended it), but I couldn't finish the series because I forgot which episode I was on 🤣. Duolingo now has a listening part (about 5 minutes) in the learning section, but you have to finish the exercises first. Thanks for the recommendations! Have a nice week! 😊👍

Hi! Great! I guess you are in the realm of complete auditory learning. Thank you so much for your recommendation. I think I will also jump into learning Spanish. So I'll definitely follow their episodes for my learning. I am starting to think I should spend more time with Duolingo haha. It keeps adding really great features for language learning. Thank you so much for watching and sharing your journey! 😆😁

@@LearnAndTransform561 You should, Spanish is an amazing journey. I think you'll learn Spanish and catch the series faster than me because you learned Italian. Duolingo is everything to me. When I was teaching English, I added my students to check if they were studying English on Duolingo. Most of my students liked the app. (By the way, I'm not teaching English anymore.) If you add your friends, it could be more fun and competitive. That's why I encouraged them. 🤣

That sounds really fantastic! Little bit of competition always adds more fun. I used to use Duolingo long time ago, but lost track. But I really gotta get back to it. I heard some universities acknowledge Duolingo test equivalent to TOEFL or IELTS. Haha probably not that fast! I am still a beginner in Italian, but I already noticed a lot of similarities in those two languages. I am also hoping Latin will help me learn both of those languages. I joined a Latin study club.

@LearnAndTransform561 The Duolingo Test Level, I've also heard about it,my students tended to avoid joining speaking clubs because they were afraid of making grammatical mistakes while speaking. I'm excited to see your journey in learning Spanish and Latin, and making friends in the language club sounds amazing. I wish you the best of luck with your Latin group & new semester!

Yeah, I'll keep you guys updated with my Latin a few months later. I hope I'll have a lot to share by then 😆. I understand that could be one of the biggest barriers for them. But hope they'll put themselves out there to speak the foreign language soon! We all learn by making mistakes. Thanks for your wish and I wish you the best with your Spanish learning journey!

Hi Jun, these are really useful tips! I really like using youtube or netflix to improve my listening skills. Like you, I'm not really a "podcast person" haha I found out that the comedy series are great for language learning because the episodes are generally shorter and the characters tend to speak in a very natural way. Thanks for the video!

Comedy series are really helpful because I think humor in another culture is in the advanced realm and hard to learn. This is why I like "The Office" so much! Thank you so much for watching! 😁

This was an awesome video! I've been struggling in Korean, especially with listening and expanding vocabulary, so I think your tips will help me with both of these aspects. Recently, I decided to watch a Kurzgesagt Korean channel youtube video and follow the written script. After searching the vocab and paying more attention, it was really rewarding to be able to better comprehend the audio, even if not 100%. The way you presented in your video seems more systematized. So, I'll for sure apply this method soon as well. Have a nice one, and I hope to see you on the other side too! 🫡

I am so delighted to hear they are helpful! I like the channel too. It's very informative and educational. Absolutely, studying the transcript is very helpful with listening comprehension as well. I am glad that a lot of platforms are providing a transcript for learners these days. Thank you for sharing your journey and have fun with Korean! 😆

Do you spend time learning five languages every day? How do you manage your time? 😵‍💫🥹 Woow, so inspiring 👏 💖
@LearnAndTransform561
@LearnAndTransform561 11 ай бұрын
No not all the five languages 🤣 although I wish I could learn all the five languages every day. I try to stick to 2-3 languages each day. I just tell myself to maximize the exposure to the language. So I like to multi-task (listening to a podcast or youtube while doing my chores). I also use apps to go over vocabs.
