@@TableTopReadyKZfaq Your channel stands out, to me, for its clarity, high and consistent production, and firm grasp of the fact that this hobby should enhance existence by being challenging and fun. I'm an old bastard who's been painting Citadel minis since the mid-90s, and your content reminds me of why I got interested in the hobby to start with. Excelsior!

Brilliant 😃 that’s great to hear. I’m very passionate about making sure people have the knowledge to paint how they want to paint. It’s all a process. I’m glad I can help in some way. I think people forget to appreciate the base level of just putting some paint on a miniature 😊 that’s what I want to get back to

Good tips. Using baking sheets with paper towels for palette never crossed my mind somehow. I've just started the hobby recently and been using foam with paper towels for my palette. But quickly found out that I can't properly control the color and thickness of the paint.

its amazing how many tutorials I've watched over the years that never answered these questions I've wondered for YEARS how paintes know how much to thin down paint only for TTR to simply add the line "I find an equal amount of water does the trick" BAM how do you actually apply paint properly to a mini BAM

have been painting for close to 27 years now. And everything in this video is 100% great advice. One addition would be to get some hobby magnifying spectacles, often comes with multiple zoom scales. Great at any age and even if you have a great eye sight. One down side to using them though, is that after a while, you start to feel like you cant paint without them. Great video =)

I'm brand new to painting miniatures, I've started collecting an ork army, I just wish I found your channel sooner as I've glued most the models already in hope of getting the confidence to start painting. After glueing them now realised I've made a fatal mistake by gluing them first as some models have very intricate parts that are now covered by other features... that's the impatients of wanting to start playing some games with them. Love your easy to follow guides and will definitely take away a lot of your tips.

Don't worry at all about having built them all already. I only tend to leave sub assemblies for bigger kits and more unique units like elites and characters. i spent most of the hobby painting fully built miniatures as well. Just make sure you get all your base colours down and you can always neaten up after. the wash will hide a lot of mistakes. The important thing is to just get painting and learn and get the experience.

@@TableTopReadyKZfaq thanks for the reply! You do a great job with your videos, that's amazing it's all done by you as well. Keep up the great content :) I have a film Diploma as well as a sound diploma and the lighting you use is really good as well, the sound is always at a stable level as well, I hate when some youtubers don't balance their levels and they just about give me a heart attack when something clips and blows my head off. I'm not too sure if you post to KZfaq shorts but that "how to paint" Necron tutorial from that space marine and Necron video you did would do really well on there (I think, non KZfaqr here lol). It's really quick and concise. I'm sure you could cut that part straight out and post it there If you haven't already. Anyways sorry for the slightly long read, thanks again and thanks for interacting with your fans.

Can you tell use how to prime a miniature
@Drakio95
@Drakio95 2 жыл бұрын
To be honest .... you could grab that mini by the base (wear vinyl gloves) and prime them by spray with spray can, preferably one with base colour like red or blue to avoid repainting it later. Citadel from Games Workshop have some quite nice. Otherwise you could paint first 2 or 3 layers by brush but it will take a lot of time. And of course use thin layers.
@GaudiaCertaminisGaming
@GaudiaCertaminisGaming 2 жыл бұрын
I recently got into Warhammer after painting regular 1/35 models. I found the primer I use in my airbrush doesn’t stick that well to Warhammer figures. There seems to be an issue with the releasing agent that's used to help get the models out of the moulds. I tried washing with soap and water but I’ve heard suggestions that surgical spirit is a better choice. Citadel can primers might work better.
