Hello 👋 Dr. I hope you see this comment one day. I haven't seen my period in 2 years and counting. I'm 35 now in 2024. After having fribroids removed, I was injected with a birth control to stop the period, however it never cam back. I did a hormones test - Fsh-152.8 range 4.5-11.0 Lh-54.3 range 1.7-13.3 Prolactin-5.2 range 4.5-28.9 I'm going through menopause at my age, I have no children, I desperately want. I was on the verge of suicide, I was on suicide watch for a year. I'm now trying to get out of that dark place. If you have any advice on how to get back my period I would be grateful 🙏. Or anyone ready this can help pls do.😢

Thank you for this. My Dr told me if I ever get pregnant naturally than I have to take progesterone because I had 2 miscarriages already. I think I do have low progesterone because I have thyroid issues and have fibroids.

for pregnancy or otherwise, and thyroid issues can have root in a not so well rounded nutrition. it helps to have good nutrition, if not a great eater or watching weight quick veggie loaded soups, smoothies egg/ duck (white only) egg , bone broth half cup, Soup at night with light meal- sauteing some leafy vegetables with onions carrots , leeks etc and veg or chicken broth , maybe some tomatoes and/or tomato soup add soaked and cooked barely, can be a delicious way to get a good amount of nutrition. Further a smoothie of soaked almonds good quality organic protein (no isolated protein concentrates ) powder 2 spoons, and a berry fruit blend ( frozen ones are easy and quick) make and keep in fridge for 2 to 3 days, take say 1/2 to 1 cup daily based on how physically active, so that not too much fruit sugar goes in but in small amounts antioxidants, nutrition goes in. Avoid cold smoothies or with milk/yogurt and fruits. If very young and has strong digestion and no congestion or allergies maybe it is ok to indulge the milk or yogurt versions or cold food. Regular intake of cold food affects digestion especially for those having challenges and assimilation issues. Finally to improve protein reduce sugar spiking, try at least 1 egg daily ( free range heirloom variety) If have issues with chicken egg( can be heating for some constitutions), usually the yolk won't cause the issue so experiment, as it is a good , dense source of vitamins. Instead of chicken egg white use duck egg white boiled ( duck egg yolk is much richer and has lot of cholesterol, so best to avoid for not so active adults or cholesterol concerns etc)

I have done this in the past. You want your levels to be at least at 15 or higher.

Hi Dr. Sklar. Thank you for making this video. I am 35 and was previously on combination low dose birth control for 11 years and mini pill progesterone only for the last 2 1/2 years. I stopped taking the combination pill after I got breasts cysts. The cysts mostly went away after I switched to the mini pill. My husband and I have decided to try to get pregnant this coming Nov. (writing this in June), I just wonder if being on the mini pill for two years could have helped counter being on regular birth control for the previous 11 years? I tried to take the mini pill through my periods but would get really sick, so I would go off the pill for five days, have my regular period and then go back on it. I have done that for the last year and a half. I have now gone off all birth control for the last 2 months, I don't plan on going back on. We are not currently trying to have a baby so not sure of my fertility status yet. I would love for you to do a video on long term birth control use and effects on fertility.

TY. I found out my progesterone is too low to maintain a pregnancy. I am on supplements but I have a stressful job I can not quit. I also have a prolactinoma and hypothyroid disease. We found out if I take progesterone it makes one of my follicles huge- bigger than the others-the next cycle. So we realized if I do ivf I have to take a break from progesterone the month prior. I wish there was a way to naturally fix my progesterone levels.you mentioned blood sugar-eating healthy and reducing stress as additional things to do

I have done several progesterone test,beginning of my cycle as well as on day 21 and my progesterone levels are terribly low,my doctor doesn't seem to want to put me on progesterone though,I have had a miscarriage last year and have since tried to conceive.I have a prolactinoma and pcos and have started taking bromocriptine again..Fingers crossed there will be a miracle soon

What if you very recently had Mirena IUD to control adenomyosis symptoms, and now you just feel tired and sleepy like a teenager, what would that be? 1) Body adapting to Progestin dose 24/7? 2)Or progesterone still on the low side? 3)or tipping on the slightly high side? 🤔 Can you make a video focusing on symptoms of higher than normal progesterone?

Yes progesterone is important. Ironically, I have never been tested but my Doc through the Infertility Clinic has me on this for IUI. I have only been through one cycle, no pregnancy. Would being on the Progesterone hormone already affect the results if I do test after my next ovulation? Thanks for all the great insight!

I mistakenly took progesterone one night earlier than scheduled. I tried washing out and letting it leak out by standing as much as I could. (It was inserted vaginally) Would that be an issue for taking it one day early or am I ok? I’m a little nervous!

Is it possible for progesterone to only drop when you get pregnant? For instance progesterone levels are fine until 6 weeks. If so, why does this happen? Would it help to be on progesterone months before conceiving? Only when finding out you are pregnant?

When to check progesterone and take progesterone cream or supplements if you are not ovulating or have irregular cycle

That is a great question and takes a little more tracking. I would recommend tracking with BBT to know when you ovulate. You should test 7 days post ovulation.

Well, I think every estrogen dominance is a progesterone deficiency. Estrogen dominance is actually just High iron and low bioavailable copper, low retinol, slow metabolism

@@MarcSklarTheFertilityExpert I've been trying to have tests done (also in UK) however the doctors here are quite resistant unless u push them for the checks like they're constantly on the look out for costs to the NHS. I've asked endrocologists for these tests & kerp being told not yet. When then?!? Frustrating!
