When Advertising took hold in the 50's and even more so in the 70's the food industry decided in order to sale more product it would tell us that we needed to have 3 meals a day in order to get the nutritional needs the body needed and they even convinced the FDA to go along with that thought process, they even made up a chart that shows the different food groups and how much of each we should eat, they had long term financial goals. People were getting paid off in order to push that agenda. I feel better than I ever did eating once a day at the age of 50 and I work out and feel like I am in my 30's. Eating once a day is why I feel this way.

It came well before the 50s, you need to go back about 250-300 years to the industrial era for the 3 meals a day becoming normalised. The europeans did it well before then but it became the normal with the introduction of the rotating shift work becoming more common in the industrial era gave birth to the 'fixed' meal times.

What is the best or most optimal Rep-Range when doing Deadlifts to increase strength (and by extension, natural Test levels) ??
@lynks8
@lynks8 6 жыл бұрын
VredesStall, there is no *one* optimal rep range to increase strength. In fact, varying rep range eventually becomes absolutely critical to continue achieving progressive overload. If you're new, google "starting strength". It's basically the bible of beginning weight training. As you progress over the months and years you'll need to look into periodized programs to continue your progression.

I can’t even begin to explain how appreciative I am for your videos. I started intermittent fasting a few weeks ago because I’ve always known it’s healthy and back in the early 2000’s, It was a natural thing for me to only eat after 5pm and not later than 9-10pm and I was in the best shape back then. I started doing more research on fasting to make sure that I was doing it right this time being that I’m in my mid 40’s. That’s how I found your channel and I have learned so much from you and I feel so much better as a result in the past few week. I have been slowly dropping the extra 20 pandemic pounds, I feel good and I’m more energetic. But best of all, I’ve been listening to what you suggest as additions to the fasting such as lemon water and minerals which was easy because I love lemon water, and I love mineral water so I’ve been drinking San Pellegrino and squeezing fresh lemon into it daily. That’s just one of many way’s I’ve been following your advice. Thank you so much Dr. Berg and thank you to your team as well.

Did weights fasted in the morning. My testosterone is good as a 35 yr old. Sleep has improved, my libido has improved. My wife has complained about my increase in sexuality. @E Kuqi Protein is the main macronutrient in human diets, hence the term protein coming from the ancient Greek 'proteios' meaning "primary" -- as it's the macronutrient mainly consumed, so a "high protein" diet is the standard.

@E Kuqi Lol who cares about longevity, my Italian family live onto their 90s eating grains and vegetables/fruits thanks to modernism, but they're incredibly fat and have health conditions. What's the point of that? The Spanish eat a normal diet (high protein) and have better lives, just look at their history with the Spanish Empire and so on, in fact all of the Mediterranean peoples ate mostly meat and dairy -- grains + vegetables is a modern thing for the vast populace, but whatever enjoy your highly processed sugar estrogenic diet, at the end you'll keep being a low testosterone fat sugar craving manlet.

The worse part is: the channel host is OBVIOUSLY not following his own advice. Doctor? I've never seen his degrees, but I've seen his videos. He's not practicing what he preaches. Manboobs, slack belly, high pitched voice and slumped shoulders. There is zero T-production involved in his own personal practices. His professional advice is sound, yet incomplete. Perhaps because he doesn't really practice or understand it on a personal level. He's read it in journals and thinks that he can make a compelling KZfaq video, but he doesn't really grasp the visceral importance or even the personal experience of having any level of self-development. Hey, "Doctor" this isn't about hits or views, but about real people. Your own videos show a genuine lack of actual personal experience in the highly personal topics that you like to make click bait videos about. You either need to actually show your own personal results or just shut the fuck up.

@Aaron Stubbs Can one do ONLY these exercises? For ex. alternate between back and chest compounds and legs and shoulders compounds every other day? Or would this be too much (it would amount to doing the same exercises with a 4-day pause)?

Deadlifts, kettlebell swings, and pull ups. Other exercises are fun but not really that important imo. I love benching but it doesn't really translate into real life strength. Even a 405 bench doesn't really seem to matter.

If you want to find a way around lifting heavy, try hitting a bodyweight/calisthenics H. I. I. T. For not longer than 45 minutes. They show to increase testosterone production and the synthesis of BDNF (Brain boosters)

It's kind of amazing how it seems I intuitively knew what was going on with me and that I decided I needed sun today. so laid out in the sun for the first time in years today. I've had digestive issues and have breakouts in my lymph node areas. I'm learning a lot from you and realize how so many little maladies are connected. I've never had major health issues but see that I need to proactively tackle what a going on before I do. I'm locking doen my diet so I don't have to resort to seeing a traditional M.D who will only prescribe pills. Thanks for your work and inform, Dr. Berg.

Eric Berg testosterone replacement therapy saved hundreds of thousands of people's life if it done correctly there are no side effects people on it for 20 years or so and they are just fine the quality of life improved yes you have to correct lot of things in your diet and lifestyle but that doesn't fix everything. I think you're understanding about this whole trt is very partial and beside you're not qualified to speak of the subject because you're not a anti-aging doctor.

I think the most important concept I take away from Dr Berg’s lectures is that the leg bone is connected to the hip bone. Meaning any health issue that we may have, is multi-faceted, and requires and array if solutions to get us where we need to be. For example, if we eat too many sugar/carbs there are multiple bodily systems affected, understanding how they all work together, is the strength of Dr Berg’s knowledge base.
