Metal scraps has been such a pain in the butt to get but thankfully I found a way to infinitely farm them pretty quickly.

I started Enshrouded as a 6 player co-op and everyone immediately started smashing everything from the start, so it didn't take us long to discover this 🙂 The vault by the blacksmith has quite a lot of scrap metal too, with the advantage of having an anvil just outside to repair.

The explosive balls you find around the map also respawn, you only need 3 of those to break 2/3 of the pods. You can get metal scraps even faster that way!

Yeah. The 5 along the path into the cave after leaving cindervault respawn when you exit and enter the map too

I appreciate it. Yeah idk, the algorithm is a mystery to me lol. But no reason to over explain or add fluff to make it longer. That will just drive people away in the long run

Very much so lol. Thankfully I've noticed since my initial gathering spree while making this video, I haven't needed to go do more. Looting has been enough since then. Unless you wanna build with metal blocks

@@ValidWTP Metal blocks with the highly polished stone is the best combo to build with bar none.Its a neat finish, highly reflective and stands out for miles when lite up with flame or blue luminous blocks. Also scrap arrow easiest and best in game since they require zero feathers and do mass damage.

Hey, not everyone progresses at the same rate as you, this was geared towards players new to the game. Sounds like you aren't the target audience for this video. Out of curiosity, when you go out to the store, do you walk into.. say the children's clothing aisle and proclaim to the workers "These clothes are way too small for me! I could easily wear an adults large!"? Enjoy your iron.

Did you forget about all those pods outside and the repair table = 50 pieces of scrap metal? btw with a regular pick it takes 30 hits to destroy one.

If you use a program (like wemod) to pop the stacks over their limit, they keep going. I have stacks of each of the building mats at around 1million so I can have 1 inventory for each building type and never run out. Then I have my local server just a copy world so folk can visit me and steal all my blocks, then I just replace the world and have everything back.

i found there is several places that have a bunch of metal bunk beds and metal cages. i set up a flame alter by them then just dismantle them for the scrap then extinguish the flame. no wear and tear on tools and only cost you 5 stone .

Oh nice that's really smart. How far into the game is it? I noticed after the last week or so of playing and progressing pretty far at this point, the huge need for metal scraps is really only at the beginning of the game

Also when you get to towers break the kegs for potions and other goodies. Break everything. Except books those you have to dismantle.

books do not have to be dismantled to collect, use a good blunt weapon, and do a jump power ground thump attack, then simply walk over area and collect all books. Best way to smash a large area ie jars,shelves,etc.

@@ValidWTP empty weapon hand and sheild will one shot all those jars in spires. Wooden sheild is OP, you can literally use it for entire game with a wand an defeat everything.Simply hold in block postion whilst attacking with wand,tanks all enemy hits, even last Boss flying scythes. Just watch stamina.

Its better with the axe, you dont lose stamina farming scrap metal.

Nonono... lol those take much longer to break than all the metal beds and cages you find everywhere. I have always had more metal scraps than I can use, and I don't break tedious things like this at all.

This is intended for the start of the game before you get to the point where there actually are enough metal beds, cages, etc to be sufficient on scraps. To get your first grappling hook and those early on recipes. Later on you should be sufficient enough just from drops alone from scavengers for anything you need, especially since you'll be moving on to higher tier recipes which stop using scraps

yeah takes too many swings too many repair trips for limited amounts of scrap, any scavenger village or town will give tonnes of scrap, as well as smashing anything they have will net you potions,scrolls,nails,wood and exp..plus they have a repair bench at every single town,base. The closest is just jumping/running left of the bridge at game start. later game i find Lapis east(Top North East of Map) the best scrap farm bar none, one run through the northern part of town will net over 300 scrap, 24 leather, 12 hides, a tonne of potions, grenades, 5 silver chests and 1 gold chest not to mention 2 tin ore deposits.This does not include the upper north part with the matron compound. Also the loom can be found at the weavers hut. The Matron has the refined limestone walls.Its also smack bang in between 2 of the largest iron cave depsosits that are enemy/shroud free in the game. I place an altar at the northern iron cave and use it regularly when i wish to grind any of the above resources.

It's really just intended for early game before you really get out too far / have equipment to comfortably fight. I was hurting really badly on them right at the start of the game, and once I did the farming for recording this, I haven't had to go back since. That initial boost of them was enough to get going and then I've been able to maintain what I need from looting since then. It really helped right at the start of the game though.

You are definitely way too far into the game to appreciate this guide video. As an absolute beginner who has never left the starter area, I appreciate this alternative method of getting scrap metal.

@@blablubb4553 i head to this area from the starting point at level 1. I unlock all spires first and place one of my altars up here and the other down near the suntemples. My starter base has just an altar and 8 twig/string chests, and is normally either in the desert of nomads spire region. You dont have to be far into the game at all to access any of these areas.Your goal should be weaponary and armour, the higher the biome the higher the loot level in the chests.Once you have those aquired you can truely enjoy the exploration and discovery of the game.

why farm if you can zip up your save game , move all items into new world , then keep unziping that world to get Infinite mats no farming needed

Because that pushes my personal boundary of what I consider cheating and kinda ruins the game for me. This method could still be considered a bit of an exploit since you are taking advantage of the fact exiting and entering the map respawns all material, but there is still a level of work required for doing it and you get a sense of accomplishment. Duplicating a map and moving materials just feels too cheaty to me

Fair, they do eventually respawn on their own, this is just kinda speeding along the process imo. But to each their own. My whole motto for this channel is play the way you enjoy, because at the end of the day we all play games to have fun. So if it feels like it breaks the spirit and ruins your enjoyment then who am I to judge.

It's mainly just for early game, to get your grappling hook, some starter equipment, etc. You won't really have run into a lot of scavengers at this point.. but yes once you get past the start of the game you tend to get enough passively from the scavenger mobs
