How To Insert Trims Into seam lines like princess seams

Hi Everyone! In this video we are going to take a look at sewing inserted trims to design interest to your pieces. Inserted trims can be sewn into seam lines, such as princess seams or between two cut pieces of fabric. Follow along with me as I demonstrate a few different ways to insert trims!
I'll be demonstrating these methods using several different Liberty Jane designs to help illustrate how the basic techniques and methods are used at a smaller scale. Follow along to understand my thought process, hopefully watching me in action will clarify any concerns or issues you may have with these types of techniques.

Tough call to pick one but the princess seams seem much more of a challenge, so, I'm apt to like that more. 😅

I like both ways. Thinking it depends on what pattern you are using.

I like both techniques, but learned (from another designer) a much simpler way to insert lace (and you never accidentally cut too much or too little off.) Simply pin the lace on the rectangle where you want it to be. Then use a very narrow zigzag stitch on both edges of the lace. Once that's done, you just trim the fabric out of the back of the lace. Same look, with a lot less margin for error.
