I cut cardboard from cereal boxes etc. to wrap my trims around to help keep them organized then place them in a photo type box on their sides so it is easy to see the trims at a glance. Love that you use the same type of organization using the cardboard or card stock.

I usually store my trim on cardboard as well. I like the idea of further storing inside the basket

I love everything about this video! I also love putting different size trims in different baskets to further separate them out.

I've used stiff paper or bits of cardboard to wrap anything long & trim-like for my sewing. I do the same with bias tapes and thin velcro as well. If I've purchased it from the store I will often tape the wrapper to one side so when I run out I know what I bought to get more, though I have a few that were simply gifted already wrapped on the cardboard lol. I then place these into small lidded plastic bins (keeps my pets from stealing them lol).

I love the cardboard pieces to wrap the lace around. It's definitely more organized!

My favorite storage tip is for spools of ribbons and lace trims. I have an old shoe rack that hangs on the wall. My husband devised a removable way to hang it. I slide the spools on one side of the metal rods, and then slide the plastic end pieces back on. Neat and tidy and all spools are very visible.

I wrap my trims on the card board left after finishing bias tape or piping. I like the idea of putting the wrapped cardboard in the basket.

I like to use vintage tins, hat boxes and decorative boxes to organize all the different kinds of trims and sewing supplies. The only problem is when I hit up another estate sale and wind up with more goodies than my favorite tins will hold!

Ha Ha! Yes! That is a problem for sure :)

I really like this idea. I have used used cardboard tubes from gift rapping paper or saran wrap or aluminum foil tubes. Very helpful video

I love wrapping trim on cardboard. It's also a good way to see what you have for trim when choosing what to use for a project. I do the same for embroidery floss, and it keeps things neat and untangled.

I organize by color. I like your basket idea with the carboard squares. I have a glass jar for scraps.

I never would have thought about inserting lace on a skirt. Clooney trim, I think she called it? Also love the idea of using an overlay instead of pintucks.

I buy shaped cardboard pieces to hold my longer trims, by the little bits (less than a yard) I toss in a large plastic jar - one for darks and one for lights. When I need just a little something, it’s easy to find just the right thing, and because they’re shorter lengths, they don’t seem to get so tangled.

I’ve accumulated a lot of tiny ric rac and have used comic board to wrap them around. I have several colors on one piece. I do like the slit to hold the ends in place. I’m going to add that to my boards.

I have most of my trim wrapped around cardboard and stored in a clear plastic container.

I store my trim in a plastic container. I should probably get more organized and put them on cardboard.

I have bought some small plastic rolls to store my trims and laces so they don't get creased.
