Those subs need minimum 1.25 c.f net each. Even with a 2.5" seat lift you don't have enough c.f for 4. They will choke. The biggest underseat enclosure is still not enough. Use 2. Or get sundown x8,those work in 1cf ea. They sound good but will sound even better with more air volume

Thats a small box for 4 of them beast’s. I run two of them in my truck in a skar made box on a rp3500.1 they slam! But they do need allot of air space.

Yes, agreed. It was the first one I could get my hands on lol. I was eager to say the least. I'll be building a bigger box for it here soon. At that time I will require a seat lift, or delete.. 🤷🏽‍♂️

@Jn M. Yea this box has to go, I dislike every thump of it. I literally had the same thing in mind with the gamely style box. Also building an amp rack behind my seat.

I think you should run a slightly longer RCA to the sub amp. Longer the better. Short ones are so inexpensive and look so much more tidy. The long ones are a huge flex. Just funnin’ Seriously tho, if you are going to use a driver to run in your speaker screws, use a bit holder with the slide down guard to protect the surround. (Semi-pro tip from someone who’s run speakers with weird holes in their surrounds.)

You only needed on one terminal to run all 4 of them to your amplifier 2 ohm's in series/parallel will be at 1ohm😮 for all 4 of them

Man you need 6k I had 2 on a cab 2500 at 1 ohm and they ate it up tuned at 32 hurtz

Thank you, box is tuned to 40hz port is 8in H x 4in W x 8in D. This box is suffocating these subwoofers. I’ll be building a better enclosure for under the seat in the next week or two. I’ll upload a video of it, maybe that’ll help too.

@DirtyGasser ok yeah those subs need some airspace! I'm currently running 2 12s under my seat in a king cab Silverado. It hits really good I'm happy. I have a 2 Inch seat lift. But I really want do see what the 4 8s hype is about lol. I'm 49 years old and love car audio and never had a sub small than 12s but seeing how these little 8s perform I really want to check some out. I'm running 2 CT SOUNDS 12s on 2k audiopipe and my truck is ridiculous!!! I was thinking of getting 4 8s CT SOUNDS. I appreciate the info and reply.

Nice! These are my first 8's as well I've ran 12' L7 kickers since like 08 lol😂. I'm really surprised with the sound coming from these, a new box a some fine tuning and these 8's will be kicking! It sets off alarms in the parking lot, so that's a plus to me ha. I did go back and forth on the CT sound 8's but these Skars had a higher RMS and I do like me some bass! It's a good buy for the money.

@DirtyGasser I hear ya! I'm definitely going to look into them. I was curious on your area, because I'm going to build my own box. I like sealed enclosures but I think the 8s have to be ported to get the max potential from them.

@@oldguyBMX yea I would agree, I'll create a video of my box build and give the specs. I have a Crew Cab silverado so it might help you. I'll be gaining an extra 3-4 inches alone in depth when I build my new one. The bass will get a lot deeper and clearer. 👌🏽

Is that a q power sub box, if you don’t mind me asking, currently in he market for a box for 4 8s and options are limited unless custom from what I’ve found

It's similar, I ordered mine from Rockville. Definitely need a bigger box for these subs. There isn't enough air space for them to breathe. I'm going to build a custom larger under seat ported enclosure.

Yes, these subwoofers are very capable of them. When I'm able to I'm moving up to a 4k watt amp and a better box setup under the rear seat.

I have them wired in series and then back down to parallel. Sitting at 2 OHMs currently.

Audio engineer my ass… man, wish people would educate others properly… first mistake, them screw holes in that box…. On the verge of not even gripping….. you’re using an 1800 watt, is it a class D? Amp with subs that push well over 3600 watts. You’ll need a 4500 watt amp that Skar sells to properly push these… the box isn’t even ported properly for these subs….i hope this isn’t what you’re trying to do to promote this channel…. I’m hating, because it’s not proper. Step your game up. Hope you progress better to understand proper audio engineering!

The box wasn’t build for these subs. I’m gonna go out on a limb that you didn’t build this box. This is a Rockville box. Looks man. Do yourself a big favor. Get rid of that god awful box. Build you an actual proper box with an isobaric build for each sub, get yourself that 4500watts amp for $800, dynomat your cab all the way around. Get yourself and extra battery and Capacitor and get rid of that 33mhz box you got there. It will be night and day. You know how those bassheads are able to float shit in their windows, it’s because it’s done proper. Tough love , to help you out. Good luck
