Inset a long thick screwdriver into the hole on the hook plate, apply the tip of the screwdriver on the rubber bumper, then use it as cantilever to pull the plate. It worked for me.

I'm putting a deposit on a 2021 V85 tomorrow, so I'm glad I found your channel! If I may humbly and respectfully suggest some nuanced tips for using your center stand from someone with 50+ years of riding (and not as strong as you!). Leave your bike in 1st gear so it won't roll away from you. Leave the side stand down. Put your left hand on the left grip, righthand on frame near the seat. Leave the clutch out, put your right foot on the center stand, and press it until it contacts the pavement. Slowly push the bike to the right until you feel the right foot of the center stand touch. Do not jump or roll the bike backwards! Stand up putting all of your weight on the center stand and pull the clutch. Without any other effort, even big bikes will easily roll onto the stand. I leave my side stand down while pushing the bike off the center stand because I'm afraid of dropping, but understand the pain they can inflict.

NICE !!! Just got a 2021 V85tt and the center stand from Af1racing. I never liked center stands on bikes BUT on an adventure bike the stand is a must. Or....you may find yourself in a difficult position on the side of a road without the ability to fix a tire or remove a wheel.

I'm 5' 8", and figuring I'll likely need to get the touring screen. It seems lots of people have kept the stock one, though, so maybe it's decent!

Hi, i am waiting for my 2021 v85tt centenario... still two looooong months of waiting from now :( I ordered the central stand with the motorcycle and I have a question for you: While left turning, does it “scrape” on the ground before the footpeg? I had this problem on my v7 III and it scared me a lot when it happened (the lateral stand was scraping, i didnt have the central stand). I know on adv bikes the central stand is kind of mandatory, but i also like to lean a bit when the road is safe and mellow so that’s the reason of my question. Hope u can help me, thanks!
