I installed a center stand on my 2020 Moto Guzzi V85tt Adventure and show you step by step how easy it can be done at home with minimal tools.

Really appreciate the time and hands on effort you have done to make this great instructive video. Just bought a 2022 MG V7 Special and I am going to get a center stand for it - this looks like it will save a lot of pain. Many thanks for the UK. Regards Jim

Thanks a lot for your video. I was able to do it within an half hour. It was a little bit scary to attach the rachet to a not so strong post, but managed it at the end.

I remember installing center stand to my Aprilia Pegaso back in 2007 or 2008 in the middle of the street, using my bare hands to extend the spring... It was winter and my hands were freezing. Good old days...

Thank You !!!! Tutorial was invaluable. We are luck to have you posting these things. One hint. For those of use with weak hands. The sleeves that go over the springs can be threaded on (once greased and started) with a couple sets of adjustable pliers.

You should warm the rubber in a cup of hot water and use a bit of washing up liquid to lube it on the that dries and it on solid, not grease

@@ianginn5172 definitely get the comfort seat if you do any distance riding. It's a Guzzi part, but by far, the best thing I ever bought for this bike.

Hi Cubbysue, it appears you are using the MG pannier side supports? I just picked up a base V85TT without these. In your opinion are they strong enough? Many pannier supports connect together with a bar in the rear. These appear to not have the bar? Thanks in advance for the info. Blaze on.
@cubbysue2 жыл бұрын
Mine have 4 small m4 bolts that hold them to the bottom of the frame and two more m4 bolts that attach at the passenger foot pegs. They are strong enough to lift the bike to put it on the center stand. The upper box mount has 4 m4 bolts holding directly to the frame. They all feel very solid, I have no complaints regarding the way they mount.

G'day Cubby from Australia, great vids you show all the necessary details. I have a parts question for you - I have a 21 model 85, here in Aus at the moment nearly all parts and accessories are out of stock and won't arrive for months. @@cubbysue Just checked AF1 online, one for your bike is $147. One for the new 2021 V7 (when it finally becomes available, on backorder now) is $370... go figure. It would have been a nice maintenance tool, but it's got a Harley Davidson price tag.

Mines vibrating. At 3000 rpm. Any ideas? Brand new. It's def the center stand.
@cubbysue Жыл бұрын
There should be a rubber stopper the stand sits against when fully up. Check to see that it is there and the stand sits tight against it, it is adjustable.
@whenwillwesail Жыл бұрын
@@cubbysue yea it sits tight against it and it's there. Funny thing is when I hold at 3000 rpm with bike sitting warmed up obviously it does the rattle. If I pull the stand down it stops. Seems like it has just a tiny bit of side to side play.
