Glad to here I wasn't the only one enjoying the presentation/packaging of the case. Definitely a sucker for that kinda thing too. It really just brings the quality up so much more.

So how well has your skin held up considering you didn't use a hair dryer? Thanks in advance if you have the time to answer that question..I get my case Friday but don't have a hair dryer.

I had the exact same problem. I wish they would send multiple of each piece considering the unholy amount the skins cost for what they are.

forgot to update: it's just something that lets it fit properly with the official steam deck dock, if u dont have a dock u have no use for it yet

It got delayed because they had to redesign the kickstand and retool their machines for the new design, i just got mine this morning

I have the Project Killswitch case (preordered since September I believe), and definitely you will have an issue with docking the Steam Deck with the case in installed, so two methods that I can suggest are: 1: Remove the case from your Steam Deck whenever you use a Steam Deck Dock product or similar size (especially official). or 2: Try looking into third party docking products that have a more expansive slot for Steam Deck installed accessories (JSAUXs's Steam Deck dock is one that I use and seems to work for me just fine with dbrand's accessories). So you may want to seek out for some Steam Deck Dock recommendation videos or reviews, Retro Game Corps KZfaq channel has a good review video for this topic. I just got a little extra plastic piece with this revised version of the case, and this piece is apparently specifically to help fit the Deck with the case on in the offical dock, so apparently shouldn't be an issue anymore? Don't have the dock to test with tho

I don't even have a Kill switch but I do have a Seemdeck I'm watching for the fun of it

I wish they would sale skins for your steam Deck without having to buy a full skin cover. Like left and right front sticker for half off. I want teardown cover but dont want to spend $50 on a skin that wont be able to be seen

edit: found out you can buy these two sides by them self, located underr preorder button there an small text saying if you dont need a killswittch case. Would have purchased some skins along time ago

I'm late, but just in case anyone else wants to know - Yes the case skins can be ordered separately. And yes you can use a full size skin with it, but note that it will be a more snug fit depending on the thickness of the skin.

Instead of email I got a txt message from the carrier for shipment confirmation. Not sure if this applies to everyone.

they're releasing a Dock adapter kit for the killswitch... so if that's the only thing stopping you then i hope this was good news.

The new Killswitch case includes an adapter to make it fit as well as a usbc extender. I have both the new and old case and the new mounting mechanism is much more sturdy and the dock adapter snaps on surprisingly well too.

Well no magnets this time. I actually stuck a deck mate adapter to the back of my original kill switch to avoid worrying about the magnets part. Depending on what future adapters d brand relases. I may or may not use the new one 🤔
