Thank you, I found the directions very confusing and did not understand why there was such a big space to attach the plate, Thank you for mentioning the drywall screws! I now understand why there were no anchors underneath the old plates from the system I am replacing.

Ttvm the Directions were confusing and would have taken wayy longer and more steps so ty for saving me time and showing me how to do it effectively,efficiently and correctly. Great video man. I had no idea that id find a. Video to do this, you would think they'd have a link or website to show you the set up process...so ty again ✌🏻🥰😌😛🙃🤗

Can the alarm be installed horizontally high up on the wall rather than ceiling.

it all depends on the requirements of the Building Code of the state where you live....

Cheers, the instructions are basically non-existent, how hard is it to say screw down mounting plate, align detector & twist to lock in place, hold button for a few seconds untill you hear a sequence of beeps, done! I did just that but was unsure if the device was actually activated & your vid confirmed it, thanks again 👍

Why change the battery? Thought this is supposed to come for 10 years and it is advertised with no battery replacement.

Good video! But it “TESTS GOOD BUT DOESN’T WORK EVEN AMONG SMOKE. “ in my case. You can easily find the same thing on KZfaq from others. So, try to make some smoke not only the test button(I bought them in Costco).

I hired an electrician to install this unit in my house. He charged me $180, but the installation was professional, as he is certified, licensed, and bonded. He used double-sided 3M tape.

you hired an electrician who was licensed, certified and bonded..... you paid $180 for the installation..... and he didn't even look at the installation guidelines where it says clearly that the smoke detector must be secured with the screws....not the tape))))) and the the company even provided you screws and plastic anchors for the installation..... By the way the installation you described isn't professional because an electrician you hired didn't follow the manufacturer's installation guide.

You skipped over the most important parts of how to activate the alarm and test it regularly. This is NOT HELPFUL!!!!
