In this video we take a look at installing the Galaxy CO2 kit into the Lancer LT-20 M82 replica.
I did promise to do a few videos looking at trying to improve the performance of the LT-20. This is my first experimental upgrade and I hope it improves my experience with the replica.

Thanks for the videos. I just bought the lancer, and I am looking into how I'm going to upgrade it. Looking forward to updates, I'd like to see how it performs

Thanks, I'm glad to hear your enjoying the videos. I'm hoping I can get this one performing at least well enough to be effective in the sniper role. This is only the first upgrade, next we are going to have a go at the barrel and hop group. I will try to get a shooting video up with the co2 before the hop upgrades and then after. There should be a few more videos to come on this replica, ending in a bit of gameplay.

@@rockbottomairsoft awesome. I've seen several videos on the c02 kit, but never any actual shooting or chronograph vids. I'm a bit concerned that c02 would bump me up over the fps limit at my field, so I may be looking at spring/piston upgrades instead. Either way, mine should arrive in about a week, so we'll be in this project together. Definitely looking forward to seeing your progress.

I have the same worries to be honest. I will be getting a chrono video up ASAP. Should be next week hopefully. Be good to know how you get on with your upgrades. Let me know how you find yours as standard when you get it. I have found with mine the hop is not very effective but that could just be mine. I am looking forward to hearing what you have planned for yours. If you have any questions along the way let me know.

@@rockbottomairsoft so my m82 came in. I don't have a lot of confidence in the one little screw that secures the outer barrel. Do you think something needs to be done to hold the outer barrel more secure? I feel like it can rock back and forth a bit even when fully tightened. Any thoughts?

I hope I can get one of those conversions kits before they are gone because I had to fix the cracking spring bolt on mine with a little bit of metal wire and drenching it with JB weld epoxy and the cylinder trigger part in the back of the bolt but when I remembered this I was like I probably would prefer this for that a couple of other reasons and thx man for the video

Hi. The Co2 conversion kits are getting hard to get here in the UK. There are suppliers around Europe and the USA that carry them though. If you mean the spring guide has cracked you can use the SVD guide in a lot of cases which are easier to get hold of. Hope this helps.

@@rockbottomairsoft Thx but I think my homemade fix really worked and I made a video of mine and I might do another base on that the channel is YB/GatorGamer if you want to check it out I'm still getting a scope for it thinking about more ideas I can do to modify it oh and I bet if you bought two of those c02 kits you can have another one handy when the first one runs out to reduce the reload time what do ya think

I will definitely check your channel out. I think the idea of having 2 kits is a great idea. You'd still have to remove the bolt to swap out but certainly would be quicker. I will check out your fix good to know for my spring powered one.

Did you have any joys with the Chrono? Mine is definitely running too hot but wondering if you manage to do anything?

Hi. I'm sorry its been a bit slow on the Barret replica recently. I'm still looking at options to get this one shooting how I want. Still quite hot at the moment. Going to try for a more efficient Hop unit as you probably know. My theory is this will either make it worse or bring it down a bit. After that I'm going to look at wide bores and if all else fails try to fabricate a way of venting some gas to reduce power. When I get on it again I will be sure to update the channel with my progress. Its definitely a tricky one though.

So do you have to strip the gun to pieces every time you need to change the 12g co2 cylinder?

Hi. Yeah, pretty much. You have to remove the bolt to change the 12g. It's not something you would want to do in the field. Definitely a safe zone job. Then you only get approx 30 or so shots in game.

What can I do if my co2 piercer inside the cylinder breaks off

Hmm, that's a good question. I've only just got this kit so I'm not well versed in how it's put together. A quick search of Web shows that new piercers are available for pistol mags, not sure if one of those will, or could be made to fit. I doubt it but not impossible. The other option is buying a whole new kit, which is not ideal. I hope someone here may have had the same issue and will know a solution. I will have a look at my kit here and see if I can figure out a solution. My apologies that I can't be more help in this case.

It's a fair easy job to do. Yes, I think it's fun to have a go at. Dependant on the limits your working to, it's worth it. In.my case though it made the muzzle energy to high.

Have you chronoed it by any chance i build mine to co2 and it shoots between 5/6 youles depending on the cartrage temps which is ehm lets say a little bit hot

Hi. Yes, I have the same problem. It shoots really hot on Co2. I'm currently working on solutions to this problem. I will hopefully have something out soon.

Like I say it's a work in progress. I normally try to upload regularly but at the moment uploads will be a bit more all over the place. There should be a video on it once I have a solution in place.

Does this CO2 work for any Airsoft Barret?

This kit will only work in the Galaxy or Lancer spring powered Barrets.

Even if we see its consistent on power and near UK limit..what an absolute pain in the arse no way its practical useful or useable I'd throw a rage fit for sure

I completely agree. From a point of view of reloading the 12g cartridges it's a complete pain. If your happy with about 30 shots worth in a game then that might work but if you need to change the gas out mid game it's not going to happen. As for the replica itself, like all 50's it's huge and not the most practical on the field. Still though it's a little different and as an affordable head Turner it can work.
