Hi my ssr9 dsg motor has broke due to water damage and I’m not sure what motor to get, it has a gate aster v2 m100 spring and I’m using 11.1v lipo 1100 mah.Any suggestions

For you considering buying it, it is useless. It blows the seal pretty quick. I have to replace mine every time I replace the CO2 and on top of that, it starts leaking gas after 20 shots. Just don't waste your money on Lancer/Galaxy. I did and I spent more time trying to fix it, than using it. It's still f*cked, BTW.

Battery can make a difference in fps, specifically a voltage jump. It happens because of more energy being transfered to the piston due to higher rotational speed, thus compressing the spring slightly more once the gear contact is lost. This is unlikely to matter unless your gun is very close to chrono limit, but this happened to me where i failed chrono at 1.5~1.55J with 11.1V but passed with 1.45~1.5J with 7.4V battery.

Good pistol, but the magazine on my first game with this pistol blows out all gas thru top gas realise on 2 my mags , so I am disappointed and from start is fiding from time o time 2 bbs

There's no licence as such. Basically if your in the UK provided your over 18 then you can buy one of these in what is commonly called 2 tone. That means it will be partially painted in a bright non military colour to make it appear less realistic. However if you have a defence to own a realistic imitation firearm or RIF then you can have one like this. My defence is airsoft skirmishing, you can also be covered by reenactment or tv production, etc. Most retailers will require proof of your defence, the most common one for skirmishing being UKARA. Hope this helps.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. As far as Lipo or LI-ION you would normally be looking for 7.4 or 11.1. Most suppliers should have LI-ION options in stick styles. Hope this helps.

Hi, apologies for the late reply. I think it's a feature you would find on a firearm based drum magazine. On this replica it does nothing as far as I can tell.

I have G-74C with Metal Folding Stock. I have installed original AK 74 plywood handguards and original Bakelite pistol grip. Getting magazine leakage I even did not try to repair it. I have ordered WE mag and after 10 minutes modification forever (maybe!) forgot about this problem. What I warry about is safety switch. It is not solid, like in the original AK and other models of airguns. It consists of two parts which are connected with a small shitty screw and gives loose all the time. I was trying to replace it with WE part - which is similar, but stronger. For the moment I failed. Generally I am happy with the gun and like it even more than one from SRC, which is double more expensive. For me it is even more solid and more powerful and accurate.

Hi, generally the barrel length has little affect on accuracy or range in Airsoft replicas. Consistency is key, so generally having a smooth, good quality barrel is more important. The biggest affect on accuracy and range is a decent hop up set up and air seal.

Hi. I don't currently use this particular replica in the field, so I don't have a holster for it myself. However there are a number of kydex options available on ebay that will accommodate the rmr. There are also some fast clip style holsters that will work. Hope this helps.

Good video. Thanks for all the help cuz I just bought one. But wanted to mention that the majority of airsoft KZfaqrs that review items like this are not from the UK. And me personally I don’t have a UKARA defence, so I was unable to get the black original version. Instead deciding to get it in red. Now I’m not criticising you or anything I just wanna say it would be really helpful and nice for somebody to make a video of these kind of guns in Two-Tone, red or blue as they’re the most used ones. Because there are literally NONE. It gets really confusing too because even if you google this pistol in “Two-Tone” you get images from websites that sell it, but some of them are actually different. Some have just the slide painted. Others have the slide AND Magwell (which I think looks better) but they’re the exact same gun. Others have like some other parts like the trigger lock also painted, and I just don’t know what determines it, and what mine is gonna look like. And more importantly, some details are removed when you get Two-Tone, for instance for this combat master no matter the colour on PatrolBase (one of the most used websites for UK airsoft guns), in Two-Tone the logo and writing of “combat master” and “tartan tactical” are removed from the slide. BUT on other ones I’ve found on Google, same army armament model pistol, it isn’t removed, and instead a black thing is placed over that logo and name, so it’s not painted over. And again Idk why or where or how or what determines it Just thought I would bring it to your attention. Because it might not affect everyone, but with so much confusion and lack of help, it would be greatly appreciated for people like me

Hi, thanks for your comments. I can completely understand the confusion regarding 2 tone. The rules are basically that the replica has to be at least 50 percent a bright colour. So as you've found its very much up to the individual company as to where they apply that colour. As you can probably tell, I'm based in the UK and I understand the frustrations of 2 tone, what I can say is that once your out in the field and playing airsoft the amount of 2 tone replicas drop greatly, the vast majority of players will aim for a defense of some sort and I always recommend this. There is nothing wrong with 2 tone but as you've found limited editions or trademarked replicas such as this one can be a problem when there painted. You never know where the paint will be applied. I hope you stick with airsoft and enjoy the game, eventually you will no longer have to worry about 2 tone, unless of course your applying the paint.

@@rockbottomairsoft I’ve first found out about airsoft about 7 years ago and have loved it since, but in the past year I sorta stopped watching it because I gave up on ever getting a gun cuz of parents That was untill my mate actually gifted me like a 8 year old broken BB gun (black, but can’t shoot, mechanism is broken) and since then my parents have accepted that it should be okay and not getting a proper one. Thanks for the help an all, and I’ll allways love airsoft no matter what

I know I'm a bit late to the game here 🙄 but you can take out the spring and guide rod without completely stripping it down. If you pull the spring all the way to the end of the guide rod (compressing the spring) it allows enough space to pull out the guide rod, once it's compressed enough to clear the housing there's just enough room to get it past the hop unit, same in the way back in but in reverse.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. There's a number of fixes involving shims. But to be fair mine has been actually OK. Not much noticeable wobble. If you do get one there's a chance it could be OK.

Hi, apologies for the late reply. I normally wouldn't recommend anything to extreme on a support based replica as I would favour reliability over outright performance. Having said that though a decent quality torque based motor would certainly work well with an 11.1. Should give you a snappier trigger and slight bump in ROF.

I've just watched this video, great.. agree with everything you said. I have the sliding stock, non blowback version with ETU, so can set to 3 round burst. Great fun to run with, use .28 BB's so a nice range, 11.1 Lipo which gives wicked response, but that's all I've done. Still as is out of the box, no upgrades apart from having the mag well milled slightly by supplier(Dave's Custom Airsoft) to take CYMA mid caps which run perfectly. Have had all the same problems as you with regards batteries and have stripped wires, so might try as you have done with yours. Only other niggle, is the grub screw on fire selector seems to work loose during game play, even after tightening and loctite. Otherwise great looking and fun SMG to use.. persevere with it.

I'm glad your enjoying yours, always found it a great replica in the field. I'd imagine even better with the etu. As to perseverance, well not for me, it's been sold onto a new home.

How can you fit the 11.1V 3000mAh inside the stock? that battery looks really big

The 11.1 is a large battery. For AR based replicas with a buffer tube the only way to fit it is down the tube. The stock can't be at its minimum adjustment is the downside. If you have solid stocks that are full size, such as M16 it will fit with no issues. To be honest I wish I'd gone for the cranestock version they do.

My magazine leaks from the square hole on the top next to the feed lips. I changed out the o rings on the brass valve but no change. Where can it be leaking out the top and how can it be fixed?

Hi. It sounds like your knocker valve is partially open. This could be due to it having failed or sticking. This is the "button" at the rear of the magazine and is responsible for letting gas out of the mag through the square hole you describe and into the replica. Try lubricating it, if this doesn't work then replace it. They are usually fairly affordable and it's an easy job. Hope this helps.

They should be. The MAC 11 is usually easier to get hold of. It looks very similar. I believe KWC would be the go to.

Hi. You can, and indeed I have friends that do. However personally I wouldn't recommend it. These replicas don't seem robust enough to handle Co2. I have encountered one broken hammer and slide and in both cases the replica was run on Co2. Winter use would probably be OK in a colder climate but it might be a bit much in warmer temperatures. Hope this helps.

There's a few to have a look at that cab run Co2. I certainly like Armourer works pistols. There's a couple by ASG and it doesn't take much for WE to reliably run Co2.

I'm pretty sure internally the Vorsk and Raven guns (sidearms at least) are identical, Vorsk are just built to look fancier (flared magwells, fibre sights, extended barrel, extra cutouts on the slide etc) whereas Raven are made for those after a more realistic look. Also from my admittedly limited experience non of my 10 (roughly) Raven mags have developed leaks but that could just be luck whereas every TM mag i've had developed a leak pretty quickly.

Absolutely. The Raven and Vorsk are pretty much the same and indeed are both distributed by Nuprol. Manufactured by a Chinese OEM. I'm glad to hear that your mags have worked well. I've not been so lucky, but that's the nature of Airsoft sometimes. Some swear by TM, others by WE. I quite like my raven though. It's never let me down.

Hi. Apologies for the late reply. The charger I use is an RC based balance charger. There is a review of it here on the channel. Basically you can use any decent balance charger just ensure that you don't charge at more than 1.5 and you will be good.
