Decided to fit a 3DAM adapter to the R1250R so I could run the Zumo XT on various bikes I left the 3DAM locking device off so I can still fit the connected ride cradle

I bought the new BMW Connected Navigator that came out in November 2023. I don't like it as much as my Zumo XT. On the connected ride, I can't read the streets, there is no "Home" setting, it doesn't tell you on a banner what street you're on or which street you're approaching like the Zumo does. So I ordered the 3DAM and watched your video to put it together (yours is the best on KZfaq). I didn't put the locking slide on mine either. That way I can switch out and alternate between the connected ride and the Zumo, just by snapping and in or out of the cradle. Thanks for posting, it was a big help.

Why do you use the collared washers like the Garmin instructions instead of as shown in the 3DAM installation video? Quite different!

Is it possible to remove the Navigator bracket (the part that sticks out to the left of the 18 pins Garmin power connector)? That would make it even less bulkier.

Hi, which screen are you using on the R. I mounted my XT in portrait mode one the left bar as I didn't like the position Inn the centre.

Why bother if you want the bmw ride bracket which is shit anyway, if you want one I have one for sale very cheap.

Don't do it. Garmin Zumo is an awful sat nav

@@MarcosPC6 bloody awkward to use. Base camp just as bad. Can't use third party speed camera database. When you edit a route on the device you can't save it. Couldn't share a route with my mate. We both had the same settings and they had different routes. And so it goes on. Three years I've had it and it's just shit
