Do I have to take my blind down to put on new valance hooks---window wooden casing is in the way when I try to place the hook on the metal blind piece (head rail) already installed

If the blind is mounted inside the window frame, yes, you'll have to take it out of the brackets slightly to put the hooks onto the headrail of the blinds.

@@fixmyblinds WOW--THANKS FOR THE "FAST REPLY" - I REALLY AM SURPRISED...I NEVER EXPECTED TO GET A RESPONSE (BECAUSE OF HISTORY FROM OTHER SITES) THANK YOU SO MUCH-I FIGURED THAT I WOULD HAVE TO REMOVE FROM BRACKETS BUT I AM NOT SURE HOW TO DO SO I WILL GET SOMEONE OVER TO HELP ME!! What a horrible design. Installing the valance on my Bali kit with these kind of clips. The weight of the valance itself slides right back down and out. Someone probable got promoted for this design too lol

Adding a couple of additional clips may help with the weight of the valance. How wide is the valance? I can let you know how many clips you should use.

@@fixmyblinds finally able to hold with 8 clips lol. Horrible design...they should be designed like zip ties, one way click upward...go too far just exit out the top and go back install from the bottom to where you need.
