How to Install a New Drip Line to an Existing Drip Irrigation System.

Here I show you how to add in a new drip line to an existing drip irrigation system. This is an easy process and very inexpensive. Anyone can DIY this project.
For my addition I used 1/4" drip tubing, a drip emitter and an in-line emitter.
I also explain at the end of the video how to tie in a 1/4" tubing to a 1/2" main drip line.

Thank you, I do Landscape design and consulting, but I want to do an install for a client and she has a drip irrigation line, I figured a good way to sell the job and make a bit extra money would be to add new lines to the plants I'll be planting. I've worked with my dad on his drip irrigation a bit before, but that was a few years ago.

Question-how do you know if adding extra drip lines will affect your water pressure? That is the only thing keeping me from adding a few more to my existing system. Great video by the way!

Thanks for the comment! If you already have good pressure, you’ll be fine. The drip lines are so small that it won’t effect anything. For whatever reason-if it does, they have “oops” plugs you can get. You’ll just pop those in the hole you punched out, similar to inserting a barb, and it will close up the water flow, thus put your pressure back to where it was. Hope this helps. One of my water lines wasn't sprouting out water well but one of my lines was sprouting out too much water so I had to turn some down evenly not their all good pressure.
