Hi, Thanks for the detailed installation of the double cardan driveshaft. I want to raise my transfer case since the custom builder that first built my CJ had it too low and its hanging as low as my oil pan and if I do raise my TC then my drive shaft angle at the TC is going to be very steep. I see yours is also steep and Im wondering what your angle is at the double cardan joint? Currently I raised the jeep using shackles that are 2 inches longer and I also put in some leaf springs on all 4 sides. I also used a 1.5 inch body lift which is giving me some clearance to lift my TC.

It's nice to see you thinking and working through that problem. Mine is slightly different because I don't have a stock transfer case, I have a raised belly skid, and I have relocated brackets on my rear axle so everything's going to be a little bit different depending on what rig you're working on. I set my shock brackets to where I would not get drive shaft bind at full droop but I need to rework it now as I'm going to outboard shocks. That means I will most likely have to use a limiting strap in the center to keep from my drive shaft from binding.

I’m ready to do double adjustable upper and lower from Metalcloak with same driveshaft that you did on my 2005 Rubicon. It looks like I’m going to have trouble with my track bar hitting gas tank. Do you have any suggestions if that happens? Love your channel due to calm attitude very informative without all the goofiness some channels have.

You'll need to do a track bar relocation mount. Once you start tilting the axle back, the goal is to relocate the mount so it doesn't hit the tank. Google it and you'll see what I'm talking about.

what do you do if you the driveshafts became separated, do you need to go to do a rebalance or can some trial and error work? such as starting with making sure the yokes at both ends are in the same orientation?

Yeah it's easy to do trial and error. It either goes one way or the other. If you put it back and it vibrates, then turn it 180 degrees. 👍
