Alan & Emily from Baylily Bell Tents show you how they install a Frontier Stove from Anevay into a 5m canvas bell tent.
Installing a camping wood burner, especially a Frontier Stove from Anevay is a great way to keep warm in your bell tent in the winter or in the summer.
It also covers close attention to the tent stove flashing kit or the tent stove jack installation.
Tools used :- Stanley knife, 10mm spanner & socket set, tape measure, scissors and a pen.

Thanks again for another concise and educational presentation. I've noticed in similar y/t videos that very few guy or support the flue stack in any way. A mista,e in my opinion. In some circles they recommend 3 sheet metal screws in each joint of pipe.

If we were going to have it erected and set up for a period of time or if the weather was particularly bad we’d recommend peg out the flue stack.. Thanks.. 🙏

Nordisk supply a sheet of self adhesive tear repair canvas. I think I'll use a square of that over the marked-out area before cutting. It just feels better to reinforce the canvas first, and it'll back up as a rip stop.

Good idea.. The canvas should be plenty strong enough to deal with it though. So unless you have a different bell tent with different canvas, it’s certainly not essential to do..

@@BaylilyBellTents It worked out perfectly, thanks to your detailed explanation. The needed tools you showed where helpfull. To know the needed distance to the side of the tent, was something I did not know before. And your video gave me the confidence to just cut a hole in my tent....We enjoyed our 4 day camping, without being cold and cooking on the stove was a great experience as well. ThanX!

Great video. Can you install these into any bell tent or does it need to be a fire retardant bell tent?
@BaylilyBellTents
@BaylilyBellTents 3 жыл бұрын
In theory any… However, if we were glamping, we’d want our bell tent to be fire retardant..

I’m assuming that you remove the flashing before packing the tent away. Is there not a risk of the canvas fraying of ripping with repeated applications?
@BaylilyBellTents
@BaylilyBellTents 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike, you don't need to remove it. It's fairly sturdy once in place and you can make sure that part of the tent is as flat as can be when you're putting it away. I say that, everything once altered has a shelf life, but we've never heard of these giving in..

Baylily Bell Tents thanks for getting back to me. I’ve had conflicting advice about this so am a bit confused. I have actually bought both A standard flashing kit and a large 45 degree kit in the end as I was unsure and had advice that the large one was more suited to a6 metre tent. I have a pre cut hole in the tent but this will not be big enough for the large kit. I think I am going to come to a decision this weekend as to which one to use. I have a couple of more practical friends who are going to help. I think the 45 degree kit would definitely need removing as it is so large. Really enjoying being under canvas but am worried about cutting holes in it! Mike

Is it possible to fit one of these into a camper van with a fibreglass roof? I would need to shorten the chimney. Can it be done?
@BaylilyBellTents
@BaylilyBellTents 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, in theory... You may just need to insulate around the flue as it goes through the roof as it may melt the fibreglass..

My stove is just like yours and I had to set it in the yard and burn it before putting it in the tent. It burned most of the paint off. If you don't, you get the fumes from the paint. I have a flange but it doesn't have the second ring and the screws. I'm at a loss about how to install it. I'm afraid putting screws in it with only 1 metal ring means I'm screwing it to the fabric and the weight could tear it. I read on the instructions to use a super glue and glue it to the canvas. If I do that, I'll have to find a heat resistant super glue
