Everything I used was included with the head unit. I had the base model stereo.

How is the GPS and Wifi reception? Do you use wireless carplay? any drops?

I use wired CarPlay and have not hooked up the gps or wifi cables. I have been thinking about pulling the unit out and connecting them. Just have not got around to it.

I recently bought a stereo from the same brand. for a 2006 jetta but it happens that when activating the directions. The camera opens automatically. the same thing happens to you?. What can I do to prevent it from happening?

I use Apple Carplay and it mirrors my iPhone very nicely. I have not had this issue.

I just installed this in my 2008 Jetta 2.5 and the trim panel won't fit back on. The Eonon is supposed to fit it but it has square metal behind the screen where it is supposed to be round. I screwed it back in but the trim isn't quite fitting it looks bad! Any tips? Also the car play is super muffled on the other end to the person I'm talking to. I installed the microphone maybe I should disconnect? Thanks!

Same problem in a 2008 rabbit. Just cut the part where the screws go off the top of the bottom trim piece and it’ll go on and the sides will still stay flush

I installed this on my 2012 Gli and I’m only getting low sound even on the highest volume, do you know what the issue could be?

Maybe a factory amplified unit? That's the only thing I can think of that may cause issues with aftermarket radio

it is normal that there is no internet, you need to connect only with hotspots

Does your car have the phone/Bluetooth buttons on the overhead console. I have a 2010 with the same radio. Wondering what happens to them with an upgraded radio.

I do have the buttons on the overhead. They lose functionality with this new unit. But you do get all the same features in the new unit so 🤷🏼‍♂️

Im still playing around with all the features. It does work seamlessly through the USB connection. I have not tried wireless yet.

You will need to find one specific for that generation. I believe the fitment is different.

@@branchingrex yes. The Eonon unit I have came with all the required components. There is a very slim chance that this would have changed since I did mine.
