CPVC really should have the ends chamfered before cementing. Also, don't use cleaner. It is a common misconception that cleaner is the same as primer. It isn't. And lastly, good God man wipe your joints...

Just get a single lever push/pull ball valve... much simpler and cleaner. Once you do it a few times you'll never forget to use it etiher.

Says 9 years ago, so don’t those newer full water main valves that have motorized shutoff protect all the water locations and not just this one and have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with LoRa feature in 2023!??? Also detectors to place everywhere just about? With alarms and phone alerts!!!???

I know, kind of late but...if you leave those shut off valves open all the time, chances are when you want to actually close them, they won't seal properly due to mineral deposits that will settle on the internal seals. Every time I see some new gadget to make life easier, I always think another point of something to fail.

Abunai One I'm not sure if you're talking about the electronic valve he installed. If so, they shut every time the washer stops asking for power. So they get cycled every wash load. The regular end stop valves, you're correct though, they need to be exercised every so often so they don't leak when you need them. I actually grab ahold of the main ball valve in my basement when I'm down there and give it a quick off and on just to make sure it stays free moving.

@@rickybobby7276 with the use of quarter turn shut off valves throughout the house, closing valves have become much easier and efficient. How ironic, I just found an outside water spigot that started dripping ever so slowly in a very inconvenient location. I rarely use this hose. I bought a new quarter turn shut off to replace it but at the same time found these plastic caps that screw onto the end of the garden hose. It's been about a week and that cap stopped the drip, for now.

He told her at the end of the video what it does. Don't people listen?!! The hoses are not under pressure when the washing machine is shut off, the sensor on the floor shuts the water off to the washer, if the washing machine overflows and runs water on the floor.

Hi, when I hooked my washer to the sink using only the cold line water and I lift the hot water line un hooked then I notice the hot line hose of the washer keep dripping, do u have any idea why its dripping? Or I have to hooke both line?

Peter Nestor I agree... many claims by manufacturers don't live up to expectations... I am always leery of putting more electronics in a home. More stuff to break and it seems like the week after you install a "gadget" it is outdated.

biohazard 918 yes we only suply cold water and its heat its own water itself. Hot water much more expensive than self heated cold water

The standard 120 volt 15 amp outlets here would take a long time to heat the water. This is especially true with the top load machines a lot of people have here since they use much more water. Plus l heat my water with natural gas which is a much cheaper heat source then the electricity the washer would use.

We have options for more power. Most laundry setups here have a 240 volt 30 amp socket for an electric clothes dryer. There isn't really any reason to not plumb in hot water. Its going to cost the same to heat electrically ether way or less if you have a fuel burning heater.
