I did RockHard 4x4 skids (in steel) all the way around. My JK is a manual, so it didn't have the dinky little bar "skid" you dented and subsequently removed. I did this in stages (due to cost) after doing something similar to what you did on the trail, and am very happy with the product and result.

I have the Protek system on my 2011 and was super easy to install. Well worth the investment because the Protek system is cheaper than a new transmission or engine or getting pulled off a trail.

Nice video on the under-appreciated armor (non-jeepers)! Got the Rock Hard oil pan/trans and evap skid this past BF to protect against rogue shopping carts and trash cans which could be lurking under some snow drifts around here.

I need that upgrade too. I think mine is bent worse. I think it's between EVO or Rock Hard for skids for me. Looks like an easy install though. Thanks for sharing.

If you would have followed my spotting, that was to stay turned driver all the way down, you wouldn't have hit so hard. Haha.

Great install! I'm checking out their stuff now. I put on that one skid from Poison Spyder and wanted to keep using their stuff but man! I would go broke... and the rig would weigh more than a tank! Let us know how this skid holds up after some bashing!

So it won't work with a long arm system? As its made to bolt up to the short arm stock mounting brackets? I do like the Evo stuff but really disappointed they didn't use better bolt head protection like a few other manufacturers did. But great video I found it helpful for what I needed to know.

I've heard some people complain about actually losing some clearance from this skid plate over the stock one? have you noticed any difference? looking at getting their whole skid system soon.

You might want to go ahead and replace the EVAP skid plate too. You ding that thing bad enough on the trail and your going no place. I used poison spyders for mine. Good stuff.

Brad, if you don't mid a few questions after about a year of having it .......are you still happy with the skid plates? Did you ever do anything with the Evap can? How bad was the clearance loss with this kit? Thanks for all vids!!!

Still rocking the skid and thankful I did, took a beating on the Rubicon trail. No eval can, but someday I'll get around to doing that.
